I agree that LEGO seems to be a timeless company. I played with them as a kid and my kids play with them too. They have done a lot of innovative moves to keep them relevant: exciting stores, movies, video games, etc. They aren't afraid to try new things with the brand. I can't think of many other toy companies I can say the same about.

There sure is possibility of earning by investing in toys but remember that there is a plenty of competition. New toys are released all the time whilst some toys stay as a classic over the times, for instance Legos like the poster above mentioned.

I would assume that legos would be here to stay. Even if the company were to get bought out the legacy would continue.

I love legos. You use your brain to really be creative with the blocks unlike most toys. My son will definitely play with these when he's older...then probably jump to minecraft. I think LEGO will stay an oldie but goldie.

We can invest in toys and we can invest in LEGO, that's something entirely different. LEGO it's not just a toy brand, so they are a certain bet.

That is the main reason why I love playing with Legos when I was a kid. The creativity is what allowed me to feel good about having ideas for my Legos when I was bored. Investing into the toy loving franchise would just help its longevity a bit more.

My kids are always playing with legos, they love it and I play with them from time to time, I love to amaze them with my constructions.

When I was a kid LEGO really just had the simple blocks, even though it was lots of colors and sizes, but it's amazing to see how nowadays there are really complex constructions that you can build, like the Death Star for example.

LEGO has been around since 1949 and I don't think it will ever go away. I think the only real value in investing would be found in movie themed sets. LEGO is hugely popular and is available globally. Therefore, there is a lot of it about, meaning that only pristine, packaged, examples are likely to be worth any money in the future.

LEGO is a huge company, not only in the toy area, but also in entertainment and clothing, so it seems a good and safe investment from my perspective.
