When do you feel armedintervention should be use in a conflict? I feel armed intervention is vital insecuring a sense of peace to prevent widespread conflicts that can result fromone country to another. In my opinion, an intervention is needed for theinternal civil war within Darfur in South Sudan but so far it has been a mostlydiplomatic intervention. I would say when human rights are violated is whenoutside help is needed, but again, countries must follow international law aswell as weighing the option of the possible outcomes when sending troops toassist a country's army in fighting against any form of terrorism.

I'm in favor of armed conflicts only when they are necessary to advance goals to further American interests. I'm not in favor of interventions that are purely on humanitarian grounds, though I could be persuaded if things were awful enough. I think you have to keep an open mind. I'm definitely not an isolationist, but I don't think America should get involved in every armed conflict around the world. You have to weigh the positive and negatives and then come to a conclusion. I don't believe foreign policy should be ideological in nature.

It saddens me a lot that intelligent human beings decide to war against each other instead of coming together to accomplish a greater good. Armed intervention becomes necessary because some humans are so selfish that they want to control others instead of living at peace with each other. If armed intervention does not occur, then the whole world will be at war.

I don't think that an armed intervention is necessary unless for economic reasons. Money causes most of the wars and that is just a sad reality.

In order for a common good to be accomplished and a compromise be reached you have to have two sides that are working together in harmony. That have similar values and goals. With most of our enemies in the world, that is just not possible. As they have completely different values and goals than we do as a country. That means we will likely be in conflict with them for a long time to come.
