With Marijuana being legalized in a number of states, maybe countries where the drug has been illegal may decide to lift the bans though how soon that will happen is not known but when it does the market broadens. Because of that it might end up being a high growth industry for the next few years or so. Would it be wise to invest in Marijuana stocks and sell them before it's too late?

Ok, this is soooo cool... marijuana stocks... hahaha.... who would have ever thought??? I actually never considered this possibility. I don't know the research on this. But it sounds like a good investment if you keep close track to the politics around it and verify that the owners of the companies are not complete pot-heads ;)

No - marijuana should be banned and hopefully will be soon.

That's one reason why anyone interested in investing in such a stock should be careful. This type of stock should only be considered as a short-term investment because you just never know. I think right now, states are experimenting. If in the future they think marijuana is causing more harm than good, they will have no problem de-legalizing it.

With all that said, there is money to be made. People are already making a lot off the sell of this drug.

I really can't tell, it's popularity is huge, but it's all depending on political decisions, so a decision against legalization will make it a bad investment.

Yeah I wouldn't hold for the short term, but to people saying it's gonna be banned, they're out of touch. Actually, the current political climate is folding. There should be more states moving to decriminalize and the feds can't justify keeping it on the schedule 1 list too much longer. Whenever the feds reschedule this should provide a significant boost. You never know with politics though that's why a say long term.

It's everything on the line right now, so it's a really risky investment IMO. Either cases, no risk, no gain!

For the short term, yes. But long term, it's a terrible investment. Once you get big money in the process they will produce to for much cheaper than these small start ups.

I don't follow that logic turt, why do you say it's a bad investment on the long run, if big money is involved the it will value for sure!

I am still kind of new to stock trading but I will tell you that I do not think that it will last too long so I really do not think that it would last that long and I really think that it is only a matter of time before we see something like this crash.
