It is true that there are people who will not enjoy what they have unless someone is envying them. I have a woman neighbor who does things to annoy me because I do not notice her. She makes sure to get out of her house when I am going out to the shop. She talks loudly outside my door that I have to keep the radio on. The more I ignore her, the more she works hard at getting my attention. What do you think is the solution to this?

usually there is no solution, strange people are all over the place. Not much you can do against small annoying things... I'd just have a chat with her about it.

Yep, you can try to talk to her about her or to ignore her, I don't know what might work better in your particular case. Is she attractive at least? :p

I am glad my neighbors keep to themselves. Could this be all inside your head though ? I mean talking on the phone loudly could be a coincidence. Not sure about being outside her house when you go to shop. How often is that though ?

You can either continue ignoring her and she keeps bothering you or give her what she wants — some attention and get rid of her once and for all. Maybe she's just lonely and wants someone to talk to. It's not asking for much to talk to your neighbor unless of course she has ulterior motives. But how would you find out unless you had a talk with her?

My advice would be: talk to her.

There is a reason why I live in the country. Too many wacky individuals in town or, worse, in the city. We have crazies here too, but they are at a distance.

As to the looney toon neighbor, unless she's doing anything of a criminal nature to get to you, just ignore it. Many of even the worst nutburgers finally get the hint.

It could just be a coincidence. Maybe she likes you LMAO. Is she a widow ? Maybe she is lonely and wants a human to converse with (besides over the phone). If I had a neighbor like that and it bothered me then I would talk to her and ask her (very kindly) why she is always, what I perceive to be, trying to get my attention. Although I don't see the opposing party not getting hostile over a question like that. No matter how kindly asked.

Your question made me laugh. Honestly without bias, I would not call her attractive. She is not bad looking but seeing that I am a woman like her it does not matter. I guess that I will just continue to ignore her and mind my own business until she gets something better to do. I am keeping my fingers crossed.

No she is not a widow; she is a stay at home mom with a two year old child. Her husband goes to work every morning and comes back in the evening. At night she is quite when her husband comes in. She is usually shouting at her child outside my door and not talking on the phone.

She talks to her daughter and not on the phone. No, it is not inside my head that she gets out every time I open my door to go to the shops. This is the only time she gets to see me because I remain in the house all day doing my online work. We have very thin walls; I can hear her moving about as much as she can hear me. Oh this happens every day.
