She's an idiot in an idiotic administration. These guys - Bin Laden, the 9-11 hijackers, the latest "jihadi john" guy, etc are were all college graduates who came from wealthy families. It's an ideology based upon an apparently radical interpretation of Islam that some say is only a small majority of the followers of the religion. But that is where it comes from. Not poverty, not a lack of opportunity, not because of Bush or the west, etc, etc.

Well, it turns out that Jihadi John has a degree in Computer Science - clearly if he'd been offered a job at Google, he wouldn't be chopping off innocent peoples heads left, right and centre!
I believe that Jihad John's motive for joining ISIS wasn't a lack of jobs. Or good jobs to be exact. Since the playing ground isn't level his wealthy family who obviously had connections would have got him a good job. Jihad has very little to do with jobs or poverty. Jihad John doesn't want a job. He wants you to be a Muslim.
This isn't accurate. When the spokeswoman was talking, she was discussing the root problems that generally lead to the current upheaval we see with the rise of ISIS. In no way was the person implying that giving these people jobs would alleviate the existence of terrorism and beheading journalists or volunteers. And she was right. If we look at the history of certain countries where terrorism is prevalent, we will find out that a lot of these young men (and some women) participate in terrorism because of corrupt government, lack of jobs and etc. As for ISIS, this problem will involve army intelligence and military arms to stop the reign of terror from these individuals.
I never understand though, why would someone want to force a religion down my throat?...war just makes one rebel..right?...or yes, i might join but am taking it all in cold shoulder style beats me!
I think the belief that they'll get rewarded for converting others in the afterlife is what drives these people to do whatever it takes to convert others. And it's not just Muslims who do this. Christians did it in the past. Charlemagne for example " initiated the practice of converting White pagans by the sword."
