Man, that's really something. I think I can somewhat understand where he's coming from. In the article it even said that he's from an area with a long history of tension between citizens and cops. HOWEVER, to generalize ALL cops like he did is extremely ignorant to say the least. In every group, there'll be a few bad apples, but I'm sure that 99% of police in America are committed to their duties of protecting US citizens
Did he think he was appealing for black voters and trying to be cool by hating on the Police? I just don't understand how these people get elected, do we have no proper candidates to choose from?
Pretty ridiculous statement obviously. I understand that blacks feel like they are targeted unfairly, and to be honest that is the case in some instances. But that's no excuse to go around making ignorant statements like this. Nothing the police do over here in any way compares to the attrocities ISIS carry out on a daily basis.
It blows my mind that this guy would actually be up for election. I agree with the notion that the current police system is certainly corrupt, but what he said took it extremely far.
It is scary that we elect people with these mindsets into the government. Its sad that you have idiotic senators who are paid more than the people in uniform who risk their lives everyday and earn less money. How would you compare the police to ISIS? If the cops were ISIS we would have our own militia and have to fight them. Life would end up being a war zone if that were the case in the US so I would not be able to sleep.
