I think that Obama is just trying to ride out the last year of his presidency and will not send troops in to take care of the problem. He either wants to not go down as a president that sent us to yet another war, or he does not want to leave a mess for the next president to clean up. One of the problems is that the media keeps giving news coverage to these terrorists, and this is exactly what they want.
Yeah, I totally agree with others here. ISIS needs to be stopped, using whatever means necessary, and Obama just isn't doing enough. Now, whether that's because he needs ISIS to distract the American people from other issues at hand or what, we may never know. What's baffling to me is why the UN or even other countries are sitting there twiddling their thumbs as well, when clearly there are crimes of humanity being publicly committed.
The UN really does not have the power to do anything queen, but the countries with big armies should act before they grow more. They are literally raising more and more soldiers.
It's really terrible what ISIS has been doing and they definitely do need to be stopped. Innocent people are dying and they don't care at all about the victims and the victims families. This whole thing is just a very sad situation all around and I hope it ends one day.
These people give a bad name to humanity. People like these deserve to be captured and given the slowest death possible
I am not with you on torture or slowest death, but I do think they should not be allowed to harm more people, they are a menace that needs to be eliminated.
I absolutely agree they should be punished according to their crimes, but we aren't animals here. Remember that an eye for an eye makes the whole world blind (cheesy, I know, but it's true).
I really can't understand why these kind of people even exist. There are many questions in my mind regarding this. How come they seem to be increasing despite of the military efforts to finish them? Why do they seem to be undefeated? Could there really be powerful people behind them? I'm really confused as to how these terrorists survive.
I agree with most here that Isis has to be taken out, but not by American troops. Let the local governments take out their own trash for once. Why do Americans have to be on the ground? It's their land and country we should just stay out.
The main problem about that Josh is that eventually local troops don't have the capacity to deal with ISIS and might need the US help. After all they do have US guns as well.
