I've been hearing lots of outrage on the Internet about how the UK government is trying to cover up the whole thing and not giving immunity to whistleblowers. Is this actually true? If yes, why isn't there MORE international attention??
It hardly surprises me that there are government officials who are pedophiles. Another of those conspiracy theories which have been proved to be true. Of course I'd like to hear what Brits have to say in response to this but if it's true that a member of the royal house is also a suspect, then the there's a high likelihood that all this will be covered up. The "blue-blood" is above the law?
To be honest, there have been so many paedophilia scandals in the UK over the past few years that it's impossible to work out which one you are referring to. Lately, we've had scandals involving various local councils, the Metropolitan Police, the Catholic church, the Royal Family, the BBC and around 40% of television and radio personalities who were prominent in the 1970s. The revelations all began after the death of Sir Jimmy Savile. Savile was knighted for his fundraising efforts and was generally thought to be a nice guy. When he died, his body lay in state at Leeds Town Hall and he was given a state funeral. However, the hypocrisy was too much to bear for one of his past victims who broke down to the police. Allegations were taken seriously and other victims felt that they could come forward. This paved the way for other offenders to be reported too. Victims finally felt confident that they would believe and since then, a number of high profile celebrities have been arrested and/or jailed. It seems there's been quite an epidemic going on underneath our noses.
Someone once said; The Planet is fine...the people...its the people that are messed up...hence in the process, spoil the planet! Man is very shrewd and devious in hiding out evil acts...doesn't it ever amaze you at the level scandals spew out of the sewer pipe but find themselves hidden beneath the carpet?!...it never ceases to amaze me
I'm absolutely disgusted. Some of the celebrities concerned were ones who I watched as a kid so to find out that they were actually paedophiles made me sick. everyone n the country was gobsmacked at the revelations at first but it soon turned into a "guess who's next" debate.
