If you were in a position that you needed to earn a couple hundred dollars quickly, what would you do to earn it? I am just curious about this because many people turn to payday loans and borrow money that they need to pay back quickly. What about simply coming up with a quick way to earn the money you need?

You might be able to raise it through eBay sales. Assuming your account is all set up, you could go through the contents of your house one afternoon, get it all photographed and listed that evening and see how much it all brings in a week later. Of course, this isn't guaranteed at all - your items might not even sell but it's usually worth trying.

Obviously selling personal possessions is the easiest way to do so. You'll need to have things peoe are actually willing to pay for though. You could also sell plasma or take out a personal loan from friends. Otherwise a payday loan or a loan from your bank can be other options.

Extra job (if you can find a quick one) or selling some things you don't need. You could also earn online (freelance work etc) and while that will definitely not be fast, you could just keep piling that money on your paypal account so you can withdraw it in situations like these.

If you want to make some quick cash online then writing articles is what would probably make you some fast cash. There are numerous places on the net where you can get writing jobs.

Try to find writing jobs on sites such as: fiverr, digitalpoint [easy to get jobs but odds of getting scammed pretty high], content mills like textbroker, outsourcing sites like Odesk and Elance, internet marketing forums like Warrior forum but like digital point you'll need to be very careful.

Unfortunately it takes a while to accumulate a good chunk of change online. There are sites where you can make $5 or $10 a day online, but not much more beyond that. Thats why selling a big personal item or taking out a loan us probably your best bet.

I have found it hard to earn any decent amount of money doing online work quickly unless I happen to sell a couple of articles within short order. Selling unused items seems to be the best way to possibly generate some extra income quickly. You might not sell all of your things, but most likely you would be able to sell at least a few.

There's always those entertainemnt exchange stores - some of them offer a better return on discs than you'd get on eBay. Companies like CEX have a price-checker on their website so you'll be able to find out who was offering the best price.

Someone was suggesting its not wise to let your money linger on in payment processors over long periods of time...case in point, this story here...its drug money but still it disappeared :(
