And all for what? The woman apparently had left the house without asking him for permission. And it's not that she'd gone out with some man [and even if it was killing her wouldn't have been justified], the woman had left the home so she could visit her sister.

The two will be charged with murder but what's more disturbing is the fact that . . . "Hundreds of women are murdered by their relatives in Pakistan each year through domestic violence or on the grounds of defending family "honour"."

There's nothing honorable about killing a woman, period. This disgusts me, quite honestly.

That's pretty bad. My guess is they thought she had committed adultery. So in there mind, they thought it was justifiable. It's amazing that several hundred of years later they are still stoning people and killing them over these old sadistic traditions.

Sadly, this is something that happens a lot in Islamic countries. Way too often. It's beyond sad. But it's pretty much accepted within that religion. Women have few, if any rights in a lot of Muslim dominated countries. There definitely needs to be a reform and moderation movement within that religion. Civilized society can't coexist with that type of barberism.

I read they are going to trial. So it isn't accept in the eyes of the government that runs their country. Again, there is a division in religion and state. Which one really runs the country?

That is so sadistic and inhumane. They're treating their women like properties they can control and get rid of so easily. If they are really under trial right now, I hope the victim would receive fair justice.

Good grief, what a lunatic. Seriously, he burns his wife because she went out of the house? Pretty batscat. At least the nutter will stand trial. I'm sure that is of little comfort to the wife with burns on 80% of her body.

She actually died. Reading the article, it appears that she had fertility issues and was regularly beaten by her husband because of this. Clearly, he only saw her as some type of brood mare who must be despatched due to her failure to replicate. Makes my blood boil...

Weird how they can say that when it clearly states in the Quaran "death to the non believers". For those that are Muslims and advocate peace, I think they're turning a blind eye on those passages and other disturbing passages. As much as I hate to say it, I can't trust them based on what is said in the Quaran.
