This maybe another case of spying but I wonder why. What was the radioactive drone found on the Japanese Prime Minister's office roof all about? Could it be another act of spying on allies by the US government? There have been previous cases like this and I'm wondering why when the countries the US is allegedly spying are its loyal friends. Why the spying?

All countries with any special interest are spying on one anther. Sure we have allies, but are they trust worthy allies. In this day and age there is no such thing as a true ally/friend. Everyone is paranoid and looking over each others back. When power and money is involved, it's all about self preservation and nothing else.

You have a point there JoshPosh. I guess there's never a true ally when it comes to politics. I just wonder what they're trying to find out. Japan as compared to its bigger neighbor has always been a friendly country.

I think if the U.S wanted to spy on Japan, it would be something more sophisticated than landing a drone on the Japanese PM's roof. They'd use moles inside the Japanese government or something else. As for spying on allies, fact is you'd need to know what your ally is doing lest they align themselves with your enemies and have this maneuver catch you by surprise. When it comes to national security, security agencies can't take chances.

Eh, maybe it isn't even the US govt? Could have been some other country or organization.

It could be another country instead of the US. I guess everybody's spying on each other nowadays. Anyway, maybe we can't blame them after all the security and terror threats we're experiencing right now. I just hope all the spying would be for the benefit of many and not for the benefit of only a few politicians with selfish motives.

My initial thought was it had to be a rogue amazon delivery that missed. Seriously why would it just be thought that a drone had to be the US? It is true, every nation has a stake in the intelligence gained from spying, but this is almost laughable. Almost to the point of being childish. Why was the drone radioactive? i don't know much about drones are they usually radioactive? Was it at a level where it was thought of as a bio weapon?

We don't really know the facts but it sure did create a lot of fuss on international media. Maybe they have made such a big deal out of it to tickle the curiosity of the public.
