I'm finding myself listening to secular music nowadays more than gospel music which I love very much. I can attribute the attraction to the beats that are in the current and upcoming music... I got to listen to Katy Perry's Dark Horse and I was instantly pulled in...the fault... the beats, I can listen to any genre as long as the beats are awesome and make me want to shake a leg a little bit ... Most genres that I love and listen to are; blues, classical, reggae, ragga, techno, rock and of-course gospel. What's your music type/genre?
Pretty much anything that sparkles my momentary interest, but I mainly prefer indie music. When I feel in a good state of mind, I usually listen to rock or general happy songs.
Generally, I listen to classic rock like Rush, Pink Floyd and the Police. I also love 80s pop music and the odd bit of dance music.
This. Used to be mainly metal but lately I've been drifting a bit more towards rock... especially the older stuff but also some nice new bands like Santa Cruz and Airbourne.
I like the occasional metal too, but I prefer something more in the punk/grunge direction, at least in the old days. These days I listen to many other things, mainly what is on the radio.
Speaking of radio... am listening to my neighbor's radio right now, blaring full blast... its a 'forced' type of listening in, thankfully he's got an awesome playlist otherwise I'd be beside myself
I listen to many types of music, including a lot of stuff that many consider nerdy. I don't really care though. If it sounds good to my ears, then I like it. However, I don't like music with a lot of bad words. Also, I don't like the new rock music. It's horrible.
I like to vary my type of music genre from time to time and at the moment I'm listening to chillstep/tropical house music which is characterized by soft sound and those type of songs are used to chill out and relax.
It really depends on the mood I am in. I'm traditionally a Rock kind of guy. But I've been talking peoples advice and trying to lift my mood with different types of music. He'll I've even downloaded Tibetan gong music to help me relax more.
