I enjoy felting and papercrafts. I also partake in cosplaying, basically fancy dress, but with popular characters from TV or movies. What about you guys?

I wouldn't say they're odd, but I shoot trap and skeet. Some target shooting as well.

Sports(everything surrounding sports, whether it be trivia, playing, collecting or watching), music(I have a ridiculously vast taste in music)and I am starting to get into the idea of being a woodsman.

I raise Suri alpacas and currently have 17 of them with 4 babies (crias) due throughout the summer. I shear them all once every year in the late spring. Two summers ago a Iady who lives on an alpaca ranch in a neighbouring town came to my ranch and taught me how to process my alpaca fleece at home, so now I have this really fun hobby of skirting the fleece to remove any sort of hay or other debris. Next I card it on a manual carding machine that I bought from someone off of the Internet. After that I use a manual spinning wheel and make it into yarn. Sometimes I leave the yarn it's natural colour and other times I will dye it. It is really great fun! I sell it at the local farmers markets and also by word of mouth. It is great fun!

I couldn't think of anything odd that I love doing but I guess one odd hobby I used to do before was collecting uniquely shaped stones and using them as part of my plantbox design. Other than that there's nothing more I could think of. :)

I have quite a few hobbies to be honest but they're all rather boring. The usual sports, reading, gaming, that kind of thing. I guess that's the thing about having a hobby though, it's unique to you, so it's only others that might find it odd.

I have this weird obsession for old growth trees. In my car I always carry a pull out tape measure and whenever I see a tree that looks like it has a very large trunk I find a place to park, get out my tape measure and proceed to measure around the circumference of the tree. I write it down in a little notebook along with the location of the tree so I can go back and visit whenever I wish.

I also go out looking specifically for trees with huge trunk circumferences and measure them as well. Often I will go to parks, up in the mountains and anywhere else that I think I may be able to find a good old tree specimen.

I use this information to look up approximately how old these trees may be in accordance with their species.

Two things in this world that help me with stress. The first being able to walk the dog on long walks is always fun and a big stress reliever. My dog loves it. He is less aggressive when he is pent up in the house, and I get daily exercise when we are out and about.

The second being, I love watch movies. Mostly recent releases and horror movies. Horror movies take me back to when I was a kid and we would go to the vhs rental shops to look for obscure B rated horror flicks. Those were the days when cheesy effects were still acceptable.

Oh wow! That sounds really amazing! I've never heard of anybody doing something like that for a hobby, but it sure does sound very relaxing almost? Is their wool coarse or is it soft? I'm glad that you seem to gain a bit of money from it too!

That is quite an odd hobby! :) What's the oldest tree you've ever come across?
