For all of you stock experts out there, or those who are way smarter than me at least, do you feel that the stock market is stable right now, or are we heading for another crisis in the near future? I know that nobody can predict was lies ahead with certainty, but give it your best guess. What needs to happen to improve conditions?

I think that decreasing unnecessary regulations, lowering the corporate tax rate, cutting back on the size of government and its spending, and paying down the national debt are good places to start.

Agree totally. Unfortunately we are in a 2 party system where that is never going to happen. We have a choice. Spend trillions blowing people up, or spend trillions helping lazy people get stuff for free.

I think the US stock market and economy are incredibly stable and will be for years to come. The thing to always remember is that this is a net-zero game. Our economy does not have to be perfect, it only has to be better than Russia, China and the EU. People will continue to invest in our stock market and our currency because the alternatives are much worse. You want to invest in the EURO when Greece is going to fail, and more than likely Spain and Portugal are not far behind... or the Russian economy where the Ruble has lost 50% of it´s value in less than a year and oil prices are going to push it much lower. Or China, where the gov´t manipulates things so badly that you see wild swings in the markets within a year.

I want to show you a graph that is like economic viagra! There are certainly issues in the US economy, but nothing even remotely as bad as other countries. We talk about wanting gold to back our currency for stability reasons... 150 countries use the US dollar to back their own currency for the same reason.
