Someone had to say and a number of wealthy donors finally broke the silence. They believe that Trump's speeches are costing the GOP votes. They actually do believe unless he's stopped, that's exactly what he'll do and want action taken before it's too late.

What do you think of this move?

I think it is smart of the GOP to come out and say this now while they can still recover for the damage that Trump has caused. I normally do not side with the GOP, bit we all know that there is no way that Trump is going to ever get elected, so the focus should go on the real candidates.

What damage? Define a real candidate. If the whiners can't stand up to @realDonaldTrump ideas now how are they going to fare against the Saul Akinsky liberals infecting the Democratic party? Pfft.

Agree. I'll vote for whoever gets the Republican nomination as a lesser of 2 evils, but the establishment Republican ranks are filled with chickenshits who aren't much better than the Dems on the whole. The establishment Repubs not only fear the media and the Dems, they also fear any Republican who breaks ranks and speaks what needs to be spoken. The establishment Repubs attack Cruz far more than they attack Obama or the Dems, for instance.

Trump isn´t going to win the nomination, but what he is going to do is force the real candidates to talk about immigration and in some of the early primary states, guys like Bush are going to end up having to say really anti-immigration things.. far to the right of where he actually is. Then when election comes around, those clips are going to get played.

The Reps are in danger of becoming irrelevant with the electoral map if they continue to push immigration as a major issue, especially in such a radical tone. California was Republican only 30 years ago.. Florida, Colorado, Nevada are going to quickly become easy wins for Dems, which makes the electoral map really small for Reps.

The Reps should stop talking about Gay marriage, the confederate flag and immigration, and instead talk about the economy.

There was a Republican Rep from Florida who this week said that he thought Trump was actually a Democrat who is undercover trying to sabotage the Rep presidential campaign.. and I almost buy it. If I wanted to kill the Rep Presidential candidate in the real election, I would make him talk a LOT about immigration in Iowa and SC primaries.. because those sound bites will be commercials in the full election.

I wouldn't have thought that it's even possible to ban him from sharing his own views an opinions on certain matters. People might not like what he as to say, or might feel that him voicing his opinion is having a detrimental affect, but at the end of the day surely ges allowed to give his opinions just like the rest of us?

Whoa, it looks like Donald Trump is an anti-hero all the way. And if those Republican bigwigs are true to their words, they might be supporting Trump's competitor for the nomination. Well, I've read a lot about that issue but I haven't read anything positive for Trump. So I guess Mr. Donald Trump should quit now while the going is not that worse and just enjoy his money until his old age days.

If someone like Trump or Cruz managed to get nominated, the unfortunate reality is that many RINOs and establishment types would not only vote for Hilary, they'd probably even openly endorse her. Shades of Chris Christie hugging and kissing all over Obama after the hurricane just before the '12 election because he was butthurt that Romney passed him over for VP... :D

I want him in the debates so I can get a good laugh. He is such a great train wreck in the works. Who else can have the entire Latino community in the United States hate you? Only the Trump can because according to him, Mexicans are rapist. That should go over well in debates. Can't wait to see what he come up with next. Oh and he did say he will do varies thing very quickly. What the hell is that suppose to mean?
