As I and some other persons on the board called it, here comes Joe as Hillary's poll numbers re trustworthiness continue to sink.

"Vice President Biden huddled Saturday with Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.), the rising liberal star who has declined to endorse a candidate for the 2016 presidential race, an impromptu meeting that came as speculation mounted over Biden's own potential candidacy, according to a report."

I am no political pundit, but it would not surprise me if Hillary is persuaded to step aside by October in order to give Biden's campaign staff time to gear up for Iowa and New Hampshire primaries. The Dems and the Clinton camp will have to concoct a story to justify her graceful exit. I also would not be surprised to learn of a back room deal to have her withdraw to avoid more embarrassment on the email ethics probe and cessation of pursuing possible administrative or criminal charges.

Obama and Jarret must be working overtime. Drip, drip, drip. A real life "House of Cards" in motion. Can't make it up.

Oh, I don't think there is any way Hillary is going to step aside. She wants this so badly. I have a devoutly Libertarian friend who wants Elizabeth Warren to win because she thinks EW will drive America over the cliff, and usher in the dawn of the Libertarian age. I told her that is dangerously hopeful thinking...

Joe Biden is a nice guy, I guess, but o we really want more stagnation? Democrat's are so old & boring. It seems to me that all of their ideas are from 1930-1970. Public sector unions?? C'mon...they were so bad for my mother when she was a DCPS teacher. KEpt the terrible teachers in the schools.

Granted Bernie Sanders has gaining appeal with the younger crowd but do the Democrats really think the best alternatives to the field of middle-aged white guys is a 73 year old white guy?

Think of what a debate would look like between Crazy Joe and Donald Trump

As I have opined in other threads, the Clintons and the Obamas do not like each other. Obama appointed Hillary as Secretary of State using the theory of keeping friends close and enemies closer to prevent the Clinton camp from taking rim shots during the course of the Obama administration. Obama now realizes his transformation legacy will take more than two terms to implement. The email scandal is a perfect instrument to deny Hillary of her long-standing presumptive nomination; the Dems never thought about alternatives to Hillary 2016 (first woman et al). Whereas Obama would have no access to the Oval Office with Hillary ensconsed within, he would have continued access with a grateful Biden. Obama (and Jarrett) have implemented a behind-the-scenes drip-drip-drip keep-the-pot-boiling strategy to drive the 24 hour news cycle reporting on the email scandal, thus keeping Hillary off balance. Excepting Dick Cheney (with a bad heart), when was the last time a VP did not seek the party's nomination for the presidency? Biden would not have the assets to beat Hillary in a party campaign fight, but with her gone, logic and history makes Biden the most likely candidate. I rest my case for the opening of this thread. :)

Hillary's candidacy is circling the drain. The Dems are scrambling for an alternative, so this isn't too surprising. Some have opined that Obama's camp is behind the Hillary implosion. The pundit Dick Morris, who knows the Clintons very well, has a run-down on that here.

This morning Monica Crowley, a Washington Times and Fox News contributor, tweets her prediction really the Biden meeting. Don't be surprised to see a Biden-Warren campaign ticket, replacing Hillary. It seems to me to be a bit early to definitively pick a VP, months ahead of the first primaries, wben a candidacy hasn't even been announced. But then stranger things have already taken place in this 2016 campaign cycle. Two business persons and a brain surgeon lead the Republican crowd. Interesting.

Obama is playing with fire, if he is really trying to down the Hillary nomination. What if a Republican wins? They have a pretty diverse field of potential nominees, and own most of the governorships and state congresses throughout the country. Republicans are in a pretty good position overall in this country thanks to Obama. I supported Obama in 2008, and now I am a conservative...because of Obama's lies, failures, attitude, and policies. I feel like I am one of the few willing to admit I was wrong to support him.
Did anyone read the article on Politico about how Obama has left the Democrat party in the worst shape since the Great Depression? Is it any surprise? We've been living through an almost 8 year recession.

That is what I was thinking. Those would be the most un-politically correct debates of all time.

I do not think there is any way that Hillary will step aside, and I think Biden has no chance in the world to beat her in a Democratic primary. Hillary can be beat, but it needs to be by a young, inspirational newcomer.

8 years of recession? We have had 7 years of growth, without inflation. Not sure what your definition of recession is, but it definitely is not accurate. Despite the fact that the EU and China have fallen apart, the US economy keeps chugging along at a small, but steady pace, which is what you want to avoid inflation and high interest reates.

We will see what happens, but I hope the Reps keep congress and the Dems keep the presidency. Neither party limits spending or acts like adults, so the best thing for the country is to divide power as much as possible so neither of them can do stupid things.
