Does Rand Paul have a shot at winning, or is he an electoral liability like his father?

I'd be interested to hear your thoughts on this.

It's still early in the game but it's not looking very realistic at all for him.

A few odd polls out there have him being as the closest Republican to having a shot at beating Hillary.
Problem is he has to get the nomination first. That won't happen because he's getting next to no media attention.

Since he doesn't get caught up in the 'God, Guns, Murica' nonsense and doesn't go out making quips about Hillary the cameras and the FOX News crowd doesn't focus on him.

Trump is getting too much media attention and it is leaving everyone else in the dust. He might not get the other Republican to vouch for him, but it does seem the America appetite for his persona is winning them over. He has no filter and actually said Mother F*cker at one of his speech. Our president cannot say those things.

I don't think so. He hasn't made any headlines. People barely seem to know he is running. I don't think he even makes the top 5 in the polls, so probably not. There should be another Republican debate coming up so we will see how he does in that. I am looking forward to the next debate, and think it should be something interesting to watch.

Rand Paul thought he could secure the Republican nomination but this is politics. Things change fast. It takes just one mistake and your favorability ratings fall. No one can be too sure at this time that they'll win anything. It's still a little bit early to predict but I'm certain though that Rand Paul doesn't stand a chance.

I doubt it. He is polling at about 1 percent. He seems to have some good ideas, but he doesn't appear to have a particularly charismatic personality. I think he is kind of someone who doesn't seem to belong in the Republican party and is kind of an enigma. He is on TV right now. I think that he is not as appealing as some of the other candidates.

I like Rand. I think he's a good man. He's got some great ideas and he's an avowed Constitutionalist. Though not my first pick, I'd be down with him being president. That said, no, I don't think he stands a chance in the crowded field in this cycle.

When Trump's colleagues ganged up on him in today's GOP debate, there is a hint of sympathy from the public voters, I guess. But Carly had earned a star with her diatribe against Trump who filed bankruptcy 4 times. It was a healthy debate until one candidate (I did not catch his nam) butted in and admonished Trump and his detractors to quit with the unhealthy tirades. And as with Paul Rand, I guess he is still eating dust as of now as far as poll numbers are concerned.

I tend to disagree with Rand Paul when it comes to foreign policy. I agree with him on many other things.
