l am a strong reader of making money books and l wanted to see if anyone can recommend a good business book that is effective not just all talk.
I also love to read. If you want to run a good business, you have to have the right mind. I would recommend "The Master Key System" by Charles Haanel. He shows you how to get in tuned with you higher self to achieve success. The book is also free online in pdf format.
Yes: Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill. This is a legendary book and has a cult like following. Once you have read it, read his follow up book: Outwitting the devil. More on Napoleon Hill here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Napoleon_Hill
Another really old classic is: The science of getting rich by Wallace D. Wattles. This book is extremely old but was the inspiration for a number of modern books and theories such as The Secret and is linked to The law of attraction.
Creating Wealth by Robert G. Allen. This is a great book, full of amazing advice and suggestions. This book can help lead you to great wealth through savvy business techniques as well as real estate investments. I love it and I think it is worth investing in.
I can vouch for "Outwitting the devil". It's a very good read and helps you avoid a lot of sink holes. I think "Drive" by Daniel Pink is a good one to check out too. It illustrates lots of interesting psychological and strategic angles on making money and being successful.
'Rich dad, Poor dad' and 'Unfair Advantage' by Robert Kiyosaki are both superb and very informative business books. After I read them, it opened my eyes to a whole new perspective of thinking about money and investing. Definitely recommended. 'What they don't teach you at Harvard Business School' by Mark H. McCormack is an excellent book as well. It IS a little old, but it was eye opening nonetheless. Give it a few more years and it has the potential to become a timeless classic.
I like recommending "How to Get Rich" by Felix Denis. It's one of the most honest business biographies. Every page just rings true and has golden advice. Check and see if there's an audiobook version of it.
I agree. I often borrow his quote that goes something like: "If it flies, floats, or fucks, rent it. Otherwise own it!"...
I agree that you should read all of the Napolean Hill series as well as the full Zig Ziglar series. It depends what your focus is in business. Also, do you need motivation, sales skills, or do you want to learn a particular business skill? YouTube has an awesome collection of business books on audio for free.
