A lot of people say they're Christian, but they're not. Jesus said we can't predict a day or hour. So they obviously don't know God and are not true Christians. Test the fruit. People like this make true Christians look bad.
Just in case anyone was wondering, the end of the world isn't here yet. But wait, I live in Romania and we are 50 years behind everybody, therefore I think I will be pretty safe for the next decades or so.
Odd thing is they always try to revise these predictions of theirs. When adventists predicted that Jesus would come back in 1844 when their prediction didn't come true they came up with the absurd claim that Jesus had entered the heavenly temple on that day. What nonsense! Jesus is the Temple.
OH man, another day, another annihilation, when will it all end? If we all died as many times as the world was supposed to have ended we would all certainly either be with God or be in Hell one or the other. I guess these groups do this as a way to get publicity. It is one of the things that happens.
I agree. There has been countless predictions on the end of the world or end of the human race but so far they are all wrong. Yes, I also wonder why Christians have that penchant for predicting such. Maybe they are focusing too much on the book of Revelation in the Bible. There was once a Christian cult here called AKO (to mean self) that predicted the world's end in 1980. Their followers bought helmets and dug bomb shelters. That would save them from the rain of flames. But obviously the prediction was false.
Don't know if it was the same with your national news but at least two times a week during 98/99, the national news at ten over here would have a little piece about how an asteroid is going to collide with the Earth coupled with a CGI shot of a comet in space. It wasn't even a news report it was just like a matter of fact information thing. Either way it scared the crap out of me at the time and it also didn't help that the movies Deep Impact and Armageddon also came out around that time. These days though I just do not give a damn now, I just think if it happens it happens.
Ahem... its 5.11.2015...things look normal around here...nothing much happening...I must say, its an awesome day, no one knows the day or hour!...reminds me of the Mayan calendar...supposedly the world ended in 2012...fast forward 3yrs later and we are still keep on, keeping on
Again? Why do people keep falling for these stories time after time? I'm 38 years old and the world should have ended at least a dozen times if not more in my lifetime, but I'm still here.
Now that was some entertaining stuff. I admit that I was a little worried about it but after some studying, the calendar apparently passes over into a new age, hence the date ending on that day. People just took that and then used it for fear-mongering. Still, at least the event gave us the comedy movie that is 2012
If someone wants to predict the end of the world then they should do so when they are certain an asteroid will smash into the earth but that wouldn't bring about the end of the world. Lots of people would die but there'd be survivors. IMHO, we'll know the end of the world is almost here when we have a one world government.
