Condolences to the victims and their families.

Hopefully this will wake up at least some of the people in charge.

Looks like Paris's strict gun control laws did a great job in keeping guns out of the hands of those muslim fanatics.

I'm just shocked the left here in the US isn't trying to call it "workplace violence", and trying to claim it was totally random and there's no connection to islam.

Of course we do hear a bit of blaming Bush for it, and the current administration and those on the left running for president won't say "radical" and "islam" together.

Absolutely, given Schengen, what's to stop anyone taking anything over the border? Nothing. That's why the entire concept was a shambles. Fortuantely Schengens days are numbered, but too late.

I don't think Merkel has a strong political future, having encouraged migrant boats (carrying some Jihadis too) without checks.

The whole world is reeling from the sad incident in Paris. With the pocket attacks, it is like a war. French president Hollande is right in declaring war against the perpetrators of the sneak attacks that killed 130 people at the latest count. As per the news report, France sent some warplanes to bomb the known bailiwicks of the ISIS, the group that claimed responsibility for the Paris attacks. Maybe the world should wake up and make a concerted move to wipe out, once and for all, those terrorists hiding behind the cloak of their religion.

I don't want to sound like a doom and gloomer but even if European countries did close their borders and not accept any more refugees, I fear it's far too late now. At the time when Merkel announced they were welcome, there were loads of people carrying those refugee welcome signs. I wonder if those peoples opinions have changed in the last couple of days.

It's certainly not waking up the president. He is just going to bring refugees into the states. But some state officials are standing up against that. He doesn't care, he's helping them out. But the American people need to wake up.

    Terrible tragedy.
This could really be a turning point in getting more countries on board to wipe ISIS of the face of the planet.

Migration and refugees are part of the issue, but it also stems from discontentment among cultures living together and racism. In Paris the Algerians have always struggled and there have been clashes all the time to be accepted as French. Most would still call themselves Algerian. I worked with someone who was French and from Algeria and she called herself Algerian.

Helping refugees and opening up the doors are different things. People are looking to go to Germany as an easy way to get citizenship. Once they have that they can travel anywhere in Europe.

It's sad, it's terrible, it's tragic. I don't know what else to say I saw a video of a pregnant woman hanging from the ledge outside the theatre where a shooting happened. I saw all the panic and I felt rage. I felt extreme sorrow. This ISIS extremism has to stop, I know France's president has gone all out to try and catch the criminals. Today the stocks of bombs and aerial assault gear went up-- it's a sign that we're about to go to war but I don't think bombing is the real solution here because it will cause unnecessary casualties. I think ground assault would suffice and would deter innocent victims.

It seems like everyone is on board that this was due to an Islamic fundamentalist group. They're waging jihad which is supported by the Quran, but open to interpretation. Either way I think people on both sides of the aisle are standing together on this situation.

When something like this happens it's easy to blame Muslims or Islam when people really should be blaming the group behind these attacks which is IS.

The problem is, if IS are supposedly doing this in the name of Islam, people will automatically think that every follower of that religion is the same when that's not the case at all.
