Are you prepared for Thanksgiving? Will any of you be doing the cooking? I plan to cook this year, after going out for the past few years. I think, I repeat think, I have everything i need. I might still make a pumpkin bread though, so I will have to get a can of pumpkin. Do you do a traditional Thanksgiving? I know a lot of people do not serve turkey as the main dish, but something else.

I usually go over to a relative's house for a big feast in the early afternoon. Then hit up the nearby casinos later in the day for a good steak and some drinks.

I live in Mexico so we don't really celebrate Thanksgiving here, but the curious thing about this is that there actually are people here who celebrate Thanksgiving, it's really weird because it's not our culture but this people really give it a really cool meaning, cultural unification it's real, lol.

I actually went to a Thanksgiving dinner yesterday. Turkey, pumpkin soup and so on. I know it's a bit early to be celebrating it but I live in Asia and some friends decided to put on a dinner party then rather than try to compete with other events this week. Plus, I'm not American anyway so from my perspective it was about doing something different. And from next weekend it's Christmas parties galore!

Oh man I live in Asia so we don't really have Thanksgiving but the culture and tradition has always interested me though not to mention all the movies I've watched that involved the holiday. Do you guys really have a whole turkey? What do you talk about during dinner? We only have big feasts during Christmas and New Year and maybe Chinese New Year if a relative invites us. LOL

As a vegetarian I have the alternates which are soy or tofu based. I do like a nice green bean casserole and potatoes though, the sides are important.I think the run up is always more stressful, people trying to get to places and buying up food, then planning for Black Friday. It's the washing up after that I don't like and putting away and leftovers.

We're going to a friend's house for the dinner. I didn't really want to do anything, but I guess I'll tough it out. I don't like making it a big thing.

I'm in the UK so we don't have any form of thanksgiving obviously. Our next holiday over here now is Christmas so all of people thoughts and attention is on that.

Well, when I say everybody, that should really say most people because as its still only November there still plenty time to get things in place in my eyes.

Did you guys know us Canuks celebrate thanksgiving too! Except it's not at the same time, it's about a month befire the Yankee one.
Which is great because I go to BOTH. I feel the extra gluttony gets me into the Christmas spirit too.

I like that our Thanksgiving is a bit earlier because you get a break from the turkey for awhile before it's time to cook the Christmas turkey! I hope all of you Americans have an awesome Thanksgiving and enjoy your holiday. Don't forget to set your scales back 10 lbs. lol And for those of you adventuring out on Black Friday! Be Safe!!
