    Hi guys! :)

I just wonder what your thoughts are when it comes to being part of a specific religion. There are many religions around and many others are also being formed as time goes by. I have seen some people give more importance to the practices of their specific religions rather than their faith alone. Some have opposing views with other religions and some even end up destroying each other.

Personally, I think it doesn't really matter what religion you belong to as long as you have a strong faith and your values are intact. I respect other religions as much as I respect mine.

Does religion matter to you? What are your views on religious conflicts and misunderstandings all over the world?

    For me, Religion don't matters.
In 2300 B.C.E. 1 Teacher of Politics, Economics from Taxila university name 'Arya Chanakya' defeated Greeks and created Maurya Empire ,destroyed all emperors in India, who were behaving like dacoits. His dream was United India and he lived for his dream and he made it true.
By Chanakya-Neeti, Nation is above God, Nation is above religion or say, Nation is God and Nation is religion.

I love my mother soil more than anything else. maybe poor, dominated, ugly etc. for some foreigners. I don't care about that. for me, she is my mother. and If i have 2 choices, nation or religion, nation or god. 1st. choice always nation. no chance for 2nd. choice. My mother soil gave me so many things like culture, knowledge, science etc. I am not against any country,I don't hate any country. but, my country always invaded by many countries. self defense is human right and I will do my best to protect all that, which my mother-soil gave to me.

This is historical fact, Religion grows up only in such countries, where citizens of that country defended their nation well. Countries which gave 1st. importance to God or Religion, such countries disappears from map. according to Indian Constitution and proofs, Hinduism is a Culture, Not religion. Culture created from 3000+ religions. word 'Hindu' is not from 1200+ Indian languages. word 'Hindu' is gift of 'King Alexander' came from word Sindhu or Indus valley.

so, what i am trying to say is, Nation is above everything and only that nation survives, who never invade other nations. My country's name changed many times, Gondvana, Aryavarta, Bharat, Hindustaan, Al-Hind, India etc. so many names of 1 civilization. about religious conflicts, nothing to say, because who will give importance to God before nation. He will destroy his DNA and nation, this is historical fact.

about Misunderstandings, If some people have that, If some people hate religions. It shows their interest in word 'Religion'. Either they find answer of their own questions, or they give first importance to nation. If they are not interested in finding answers of their questions about religion, they are using religion as a punching bag and wasting their time. nothing else. God believer accepts God and follows him directly and Atheists denies existence of God and follow God indirectly. Both like to won against each other. so, Religion, God is nothing just their winning appetite or instead of finding answer, both are wasting their time. that's easy way. hard way very few people like.

Once again, Nation is above all, Nation is above Religion and God or say.

In my opinion , religion really does matter. Religion is what helps build and form your morals.

With religion I am a give or take person, I have friends who are religious and those who aren't and it's down to experiences in life and what people choose to believe. I don't personally find it important, but I respect religions within reasons as long as what someone does doesn't affect me or others, or put me out.

Those that use religion as an excuse for their behavior I have no time for, and that does happen. People need to be flexible, but if they aren't due to religion then I begin to lose respect for them.

Religion means nothing if no one lives by it's teachings. Take a look around and you'll notice that most people who claim they are religious aren't any different from everyone else: they hate, they kill, they lie, they steal. The world would be a much better place and wouldn't need religion at all if we all lived by the golden rule, do unto others what you expect them to do unto you. That's all the world needs.

That is so true. There are some religions that seem to negatively affect other people and it's really disappointing to see.

What a wonderful reminder. It is true that we often see people who claim to be religious but their actions show the opposite of what they say or preach. Here in my area, news about a local religious sector having problems because of conflicts between their leaders. It just disappoints people to see them in that kind of situation when they should really be serving as examples of what they hear and learn from their congregation.

Religion is important to people it is important to. I personally am an atheist but I have had friends who found their religion profoundly important to them and directing what they do, be they Quaker, Roman Catholic, Neo-Druidic or whatever path beckons to them. If religion gives people meaning and purpose, and makes them do good in the world--that's great.

My religion is rooted in my love of family and tradition. It's important to me because it has shaped my identity and I can't imagine myself as anything else. Religion will always find a place in history as long as people feel left out or are seeking answers that can't be readily explained by science.

Religion isn't as important as true relationship with Christ. We were all created to know our creator.

Well that is certainly a loaded question and a tough one to answer on a low Sunday afternoon, but I would have to say that it is very important if you just consider the context of human history. Speaking more personally, though, it is just a matter of personal choice and belief, and the certainly changes with each person.
