I'm do for a few days off from the world. it's always good to make time to relax. Taking a short 2 day vacation. i like to take a few days twice a month to break apart from the world. This gives me sometime to relax and maintain a stress-free life. Even when everything is going great, you still need time to relax. Stress hits you when you are too up or too down.

Anyone else following a routine such as this?

Lucky you, enjoy it. Where are you going to? I would love to do that as well, but being a parent I don't have days off, ever! :D In August I have days off from work, sometimes the whole month, but I am still with the kids, so it's a different kind of job. :)

I too would love to be able to develop a routine such as that. Unfortunately with two jobs and school, I hardly ever get a free hour anymore. Everyone tells me to look toward the future, but its difficult to do when you're so restricted with your time. Taking a day or two off a month would cause me to be fired, so instead I listen to music whenever I'm doing something outside of work and school. That usually helps to retain my sanity. :)

Going to a nearby lake to spend a few days relaxing in the water.

It's important to make time for yourself, but its not always easy. I usually like spending a few days on my own with no one around, but this time I will have a few people with me. it will be great. Everything has been going good, but I still feel stressed in a way. Need to clear my mind. Think i need to have a meditation session tonight.

I wish I could afford to take time for myself. When I'm not at my grandparent's house giving them healthcare I's at home babysitting and helping bring in income for my mom. Like the wise words a man once said, "There ain't no rest for the wicked".

I use to believe that "not taking any time off" was better. But, it's not. Your life improves when you learn to control your stress levels. Overworking yourself is a negative, although it has it's place. I overwork myself all the time. That is why I break myself off from reality (so to say) now and then.

We need to take time off frequently. In our day to day taking small breaks actually increases our productivity and every once in a while we need to take a few days to recharge batteries, we are not machines after all.

I'm a very lazy person, so your routine would be like a miracle for me.
I too like to escape from the daily routine at least once in 2 months. I like to travel somewhere, do something crazy, lay down in the sun or simply do small things that I enjoy.
I think it's important to have control over your stress levels and have small breaks that could improve you personally.

Yeah, no stress works fine for me and nothing like escaping the routine to let the stress out, considering you are not the type of person that stress in vacation or go with the company of someone that stresses you out. :) Always good to take a break from work.

I just got back this morning from my "few days off from the world." Not sure it's all that exciting, Jaydon... because every time I get back, there's twice as much work to do which is an immediate doubling of stress.

A few days twice a month? You must have an incredibly understanding employer! I can't afford that much... either financially or mentally. But I like doing a 2 or 3 day road trip every few months.
