I consider myself a highly liberal democrat.

I fully believe in gun control, abortion, gay marriage, and the legalization of marijuana. I get a HUGE amount of flack for these things, especially from my heavily conservative republican conspiracy theorist father (I'm not even joking about any of this - he really is exactly that!). I don't really care though, in America we have the freedom to believe anything, so I express that right heavily.

I don't think politics can ever be thought of in such black & white terms. We can't fit all political ideals under two categories, and if so many people have values from each side of the coin, then what's the point in so clearly defining the two separate parties?I'm registered Libertarian because I believe in personal liberty and the right to do what I please as long as it doesn't harm others. I don't believe the government has any place deciding in matters that are social to the extent that they do.

None has ever managed to fully be worthwhile for me. It's my right to vote for nobody, anyway. :)

I am a part of no party, but I think that in the next elections I'll vote green, it's better than blank or not voting at all I imagine, at least there will be someone in the parliament talking things we do understand.

I'm part of the democratic party. I just turned 18 last year and am strongly looking forward to voting democrat in the next US presidential election. I've already participated in local elections, so it'll feel good to be a part of something bigger, and help determine my country's leader for the next 4 or 8 years.

I'm fiscally conservative, but not completely conservative on social issues. I lean towards legalization of marijuana, but Pro 2A, Pro death penalty, against abortion, pro religion, pro constitution.

I don't care about affiliating with the Republican party or Democratic party. I am independent if one individual sounds good then I would go for them. If they are not then I would not even vote for them.

Politics is never black and white like someone else has stated. We tend to get heated if we are passionate about our beliefs. And, I would hope that we all are passionate about our beliefs when it comes to our respective governments. Kate, this can be a tough crowd and, I am glad to see you and JR still here while ai have been away sick. It feels great to be back.

It's good to see you back, alexisfinch24 ! And yes, I certainly hope everyone would be as passionate about their beliefs... if we don't stick up for ourselves and our heritage, who's going to do it?

I'm sorry you've been sick! I hope you're fully on the mend now. :)
