From a distance it looks as though Donald Trump's tactic of "getting amongst it" has at least paid some dividends. Many have mocked his coming meeting with the North Korean leader but the release of the US prisoners has surprised everyone - must be a positive sign?
The Failing New York Times has largely made Trump-bashing and making stuff up its new business model - as have the Amazon Washington Post and most other US leftist mainstream media outlets such as the alphabet tv networks. It's highly unlikely they will apologize or issue a retraction. Our MSM has largely adopted the fictional tabloid model that has long been the standard operating procedure of our alt left media outlets such as Fake News CNN and Conspiracy tv MSNBC. They all have caught terminal cases of Trump derangement syndrome since their girl Crooked Clinton lost the election.

Trump's approval ratings have gone up above 50%. The approval ratings of the US media trend in the upper single digits to perhaps low teens. People talk about how Trump plays loosely with the truth. The dishonesty of democrat politicians and the largely leftist US media makes him look like Abe Lincoln. And there are very few "moderate" democrat politicians left in the US - most of them are far leftists or have moved in that direction.
Totally agree @JR Ewing There are also some parts of the UK where politicians/media have gone mad - vendettas are wrapped up as a way to protect the public from the big bad wolf (or protect them from themselves as nationalists see it) when in reality they are an afront to democracy.
