We all know that jobs working with the Stock Market are considered to be among the most high stress jobs. It's said to take a toll on your personal mental health as well as the lives of your family and friends. So, at the end of the day...why do you do it?
The stock market is one of the things where there is no limit to what you can win. It is a place where the smartest will win and everyone else will lose. The fact that I could make millions tomorrow by making a purchase today makes my job dynamic and exciting. So for me, it is totally worth it.
Well, being a stockbroker or anyone who deals with the stock market has its own benefits. Since you have to interact with a lot of people and should convince them to open a brokerage account, your social skills will improve and everyone will like you. Also, it is very profitable to have a job that deals with the Stock Market. If a man who deals with the stock market is a sagacious person, he has a very bright future. If he uses his mind properly, there's a big chance that he will end up being a millionaire. Nevertheless, having a job that deals with stock market might also engender problems. Hence, it is mandatory to be careful and astute. In a nutshell, having a job at the stock market is profitable although it has some disadvantages.
Well, not like my mental health is the best to begin with! However, I'm not exactly a firm and hard stockbroker or anything, just a little bit here and there you know? That being said though, what I like is that it's a very flexible means of making money. I don't have to do too much work-although obviously more than some of my income means-so it gives me something to do to earn a little money on the side, you know?
It might be high stress, but a lot of jobs are high stress. Some that pay only a fraction. If you had a well paying job working with stocks and you love it, why not? Better off making a lot of money rather than be stressed out and make a little money...
The thing that makes the stock market job worth it is if you love it - if you love the rush of every time you make a successful trade the money you make and the learning process of figuring out your mistakes. However trading with money especially money that you can't afford to replace, that's what makes the job higher stress than usual.
I like being a casual investor, but people that do it for a living often love the high-stress, high-reward nature of the job. If you're great at investing and know your numbers, then you're likely to make a decent living off it. As long as you stay focused, you can reap some pretty large gains a relatively quick trade in a short amount of time. Otherwise, you could try your hand at investing for dividends and live off the excess money. There are plenty of benefits to living a life as a trader.
One of my favorite things about investing is it's one of the few professions that rewards you handsomely for the amount of work you put in. There's certainly a high amount of risk involved, but it's a profession that rewards research and dedication to the craft. That's a pretty cool idea to me. I also like the idea of knowing what's happening in the economy and the education I get on a daily basis as to the innerworkings of different companies and such. I feel like that sort of knowledge is useful in most career paths.
