Last week politicians (all of them Republican) from the House of Congress announced a lawsuit against the President for his abuse of executive powers. I see the lawsuit as unnecessary as Presidents in the past have used executive orders to get certain things done. Do you feel this is a wise choice and perhaps a waste of time by pursuing the lawsuit? Do you feel House Speaker John Boehner is caving into pressure by going forward with this action?

I think it's absolutely ridiculous! He certainly has not done anything worse than what our previous president did. Apparently there will be a report coming out that says that the US definitely engaged in torture after 9/11. Do you think anyone from the previous administration will be held accountable for that?

I also heard that part of the lawsuit against Obama is claiming that he took too long to roll out Obamacare. But it was the Republicans in Congress who held it up. I don't understand how they can even consider suing him over this.

I had to check whether this news was from The Onion, it's ridiculous!
Obama has issued a few more executive orders than usual but that's because the House blocks him every time he attempts to do something through the regular channels.
If he didn't then they would criticize him for being too passive...

The republlicns need to chill out, there main aim is to get President Obama out of presidency , so they are going to try any route to try and get him out, but I believe they will fail.

I think the whole thing is ridiculous, he wasn't doing anything different from other presidents we've had. They are just searching for an excuse to impeach him, but it won't happen. There are many much, much worse presidential decisions he has made than this. All he did here was try to make sure people could have access to adequate health care. It would make much more sense for him to be punished for his excessive use of drone strikes or his support of Israel's treatment of Palestinians.

I agree with that. Also his use of NSA indiscriminately spying on the whole planet, fomenting illegal regime changes, making stupid warmongering allegations without any evidence... backing terrorists etc but they try to take him to court for not implementing a healthcare plan which they blocked.... Something seriously wrong with them.

However, the reason they do not criticise him for the other stuff, is because they want to do all that and more themselves, if/when they get in.

You're probably right! If they focus too much on the war crimes that Obama committed, they would be forced to admit that what George W. Bush did throughout his presidency are equally as bad, if not worse.

Of course, that's assuming that they would be able to think critically of their own actions and beliefs as a political party, which is, frankly, unlikely.

He is worse than Bush, worse than Carter, worse than anyone before him.

"Torture" done under Bush is what got us Bin Laden - it wasn't any brilliance on Obama's part that made that happen, although his own bragging about it and trying to take credit for it caused the deaths of US special forces opps afterward.

Harry Reid blocks anything sensible the Republican-led house tries to do and anything the Repubs in the Senate minority try to do.

The main reason Obama's actions are blocked is because they have extra pork in them or other things that are otherwise harmful and often have nothing to do with any of the actual needed legislation. Just looke at obamacare - a 2000 page mess filled with all sorts of vile crap - that the Dems who voted for it didn't even bother to read.

That's what the whole employer mandate delay is about - giving the Dems a better chance in the midterm elections. Once that expires, we'll REALLY see how harmful obamacare will be.

I think this is just another Republican tactic to remove Obama from office. And if the suit doesn't do that, they know for sure it will continue to make his presidential term hell. It feels like more of them are focused on ruining him than on helping the "majority" of American people in this beautiful country. It's a shame really. It also is a shame because the money they are using to force this suit, should be used to help the people. I'm sure the "majority" would more appreciate that money going towards education, arts in school, small business loans...

I think he also has cost many of them millions of dollars since many of them are also businessmen, profiting off of war and other stuff. But that's just my suspicion. ;)
