My friend is going to a WWE concert in a few days, I'm sure that will fix him up :)

Just kidding, I do follow WWE - well, when I was about 12. I had purchased all their games, figurines, etc etc. To be honest though, WWE is soon going to be over. All I see dominating the fight scene is UFC and MMA. Nothing more.

Whoa whoa whoa. How dare you say anyone other than Maryse from WWE?

In all seriousness, if the WWE actually treated their female wrestlers with respect and utilized their actual wrestling talents, then far more women would like what WWE has to offer. I'm not saying that would translate into the company's stock price at all, but the popularity of the company could be so much higher. Everyone knows it's not real fighting. It's for entertainment. They call their wrestlers entertainers nowadays for whatever reason.

WWE really needs to work on the Network if they want to drive that subscriber base up. I have it (thanks to getting lured in by Wrestlemania back in April), but once my six month commitment is up, I'm probably not going to resub. There really needs to be more "only on WWE Network" stuff. And I don't mean crap like Legends House, I mean stuff actually worth watching. That Daniel Bryan documentary they did back in April is a good example of what they need to do more of.

They also need to advertise it outside of their usual avenues. Constantly shilling it on Raw isn't going to help them one bit. That audience already knows what it is and has already decided whether or not they're interested in it. They need to be advertising to non-wrestling fans or lapsed wrestling fans from the 90s/00s.

The WWE has been lacking on the entertainment lately even though they have Brock Lesnar back I am still not as hooked as I used to. Cena is still there in the ring which he is going against Lesnar in SummerSlam. I still see Dolph Ziggler still there which I never was a fan of his.

I'm a big fan of Ziggler myself. I think he's really talented. However, he does need to learn to stop whining on Twitter when things don't go his way. And yeah, I'm looking forward to Summerslam. I'm not the biggest fan of Cena, but he and Brock can put on a great match so I'm excited to see it.

boxing is out , MMA is the craze now. And for good reason. You need to be exceptionally skilled in martial arts, wrestling and boxing among other things. And it is a lot more a action than boxing. and wrestling.. blah.. scripted.

I don't see it having much of an effect. McMahon has a solid brand with the WWE and is already branching out into social media with a few different apps and so forth. It's an entertainment industry and it will be hard to keep down. I see him making his money back rather quickly over the long run.

They are quite different markets. The UFC is no threat to Pro-Wrestling, and the only thing they share in common is the pay-per-view model.

Isn't all their content on that network now?
I know that, for them, traditional pay-per-view is gone. But isn't all the other stuff in there too?
It takes a bit of time to roll a product like this... The UFC's Fight Pass is also having some issues.

I don't have PPV so I usually have to go on the web myself and see who won. I Just don't like WWE as much right now. I have not been keeping up but it looks like HHH is still the COO and Stephanie is still with him.

Sounds like the WWE writers are starting to get creative with their ideas for stories. Maybe Donald Trump will bikini wrestle the Rock in an upcoming event to save an orphanage?
