So in a nutshell fracking ought to be abolished or...i was just checking out this sitcom {last man standing}...in one episode, it was basically about the pros and cons of fracking, i believe at some point in life, human beings have had to compromise in this regard, in this day and age we do need energy and fracking seems to be the only way out, other alternatives are either too farfetched or too expensive.

It was about time. This technology has sounded ominous and wrong from the very beginning. It boggles the mind how long people can keep their eyes shut.

...and do you see it being abolished any time soon?, taking to regard how it has affected the environment...and if abolished, where will energy come from?...just asking.

I doubt it... its too lucrative. The follow on from sub prime.

It costs more to get the oil out of the ground than the oil is worth. Production often drops by 60 to 90% in a year but as long as they can keep pulling in new investors to 'drill baby drill' new holes, the ponzi scheme will keep going until it collapses all of a sudden but one thing is for sure, those at the top of the pyramid will have done very nicely thank you, out of it,

    poor poor investors:(

    Just my ten cents :)

I'm not surprised some of those practices are INTENSE. But then again what are you going to do, ban them? I had no idea they were that powerful though! It's just like strip mining. Should it be banned? Yup. Will it ever be in every state? Highly doubtful.

I don't see why it's taking so long for people to see the problems with fracking. When you're hammering the Earth something bad is BOUND to happen. It'll probably take a couple more magnitude 6 earth quakes before anyone seriously considers this though...

Fracking is safe. And productive for our energy and economic needs. Most of the opposition to fracking comes from the extreme, anti capitalism, anti oil left wing. Even more moderate Democrats are starting to get on board with the fracking movement and the move towards American energy independence.

There is so much pressure down that the fracturing has the power to cause them, technology in some cases can be a step backwards.
