If you had to classify your views on abortion by either the pro life or pro choice label, which would you choose? Personally I feel abortion is wrong in all cases and I view it as being on par with murder. Even saying that, I feel as though the abortion option should be available to those who are pregnant due to incest or rape. But only in the first trimester. So I would clearly choose the pro life label. I think women should be encouraged to have their children, and I think men should be given information and help to become good fathers and involved in their childrens life. Abortion to me is the easy way out, and is morally reprehensible.

I have seen so many things in life today that I never put a label on anything unless I have walked in the same shoes. (I hope that I never have to). I do not think that there is any woman on earth however cold she may be who would take abortion easily. It must break their heart to a certain extent to make that decision of procuring an abortion.

I don't that most women take abortion lightly. I think for most it's a very personal and hard decision. But there are women out there that do in fact take it lightly. I'm talking about the type who have multiple abortions, who use it as a form of birth control, and the radical feminists who seem to glorify and celebrate "choice". I'm personally against abortion but don't mind disagreement on the issue within reason. I certainly don't think people should be able to get late term abortions. That's beyond barbaric in my opinion.

It's a choice that I repect. Abortion isn't and shouldn't be used as a form of birth control. Bleeding hearts trying to tell a woman she's killing her baby, should get a grip. If a pregancy isn't wanted by all means end it in a timely fashion. I'd rather know that abortion is an option then to think of babies being born and abused because they were never wanted in the first place.

I think women should have the right to choose what happens to their own bodies. Pregnancy and childbirth require months of pain, discomfort, and physically alters your body for the rest of your life. No one should be forced into it. Plus, raising an unwanted child is a bad situation for all parties involved. Accidents happen and you can get pregnant even while using contraceptives.

Making abortions illegal only results in women using dangerous, harmful methods to get it done on their own. This has been the case throughout history. I heard on the news yesterday that even with clinics and options available, around 47,000 women still die each year due to complications from unsafe abortion attempts.

I lean towards pro-choice, but at the same time I don't think abortion is a "good" thing or something to be proud of or brag about like many on the far left seem to think.

There's no question that a woman or girl should not be forced to carry a child when she's been the victim of rape or incest or when her health could be in danger.

And at the end of the day, it should be her decision above all else in any other circumstances. But not something to take lightly or celebrate - someone who thinks such should have their head examined.

This is a very difficulty question, how do you tell a women who is a victim of sexual abuse, and as a result, pregnant, to keep the unborn child? How do you convince her that one day, the child will be successful and be able to help her in life? how do you bring her to believing that this unborn child is not going to be like the father, a rapist, or drug addict. I am definitely pro-life because I think, if you kill you unborn child, you may never know the result of what the child will come to, it is better for the child to be born rather than killed.

I pose this question, 'who do we think we are to decide the unborn's child fate?'...why not give birth then give up that kid up for adoption...instead of murder, taking deep considerations the complications that can arise out of abortion.

These are my own feelings, too. I'd say show some maturity, "man up" to the mistake you made (except with rape, and then it's STILL not the baby's fault) and wait out the 9 months to let someone who can't get pregnant adopt and raise the child.

I lost a baby to miscarriage and then thought for 5 years there would never be a baby until I got pregnant with my daughter. There are *so* many people who wish daily for the chance to be a parent.

The worst part of all is the people who just "get rid of the annoyance" as if it would be an ingrown toenail. :(

Did the article you read mention that a lot of those deaths were after "safe" clinic abortions?
