You all probably know of a Real Estate Agent in your social circle. And you all know that there are a lot of Agents out there today, my question to those of you who are interested in buying a house and is in the process of doing so, what made you interested in your particular broker or Real Estate Agent? and those of you who are not buying currently, but would like to, what would you look for in an Agent?

I have one I've been using for a few years. She's great. She's very genuine and not pushy. She can take ideas that I give her and make suggestions that I wouldn't have thought about myself. I look for someone organized, efficient, and hopefully sincerely interested in helping me find the right place.

Professionalism is what i seek for first, then a hardworker, efficiency, organized work ethic and a well-known with accolades that follow suit, then i know that we both are benefitting at the end of the day. :)

He/she should efficient, well known and know his field very well. Also the expenses should be decent. In addition, professionalism is the main thing as the poster above said.

Seconding all that you've said, might i add, maturity to book, i have a case scenario whereby i fired some real estate agents for they were not doing their job properly...now two months down the line with a professional mature real estate agent in tow, i got childish people barking at me with useless things of how i should run my property and am like, i gave you your chance and you wasted it, how about a mouthful of shut up please and go about your business, stop being in mine, i don't need it no more! {tsk! tsk!} some people {shaking my head}...its a pity!

I have not met a Real Estate Agent which having someone who is sociable and would be willing to answer questions is preferred. I would like for my agent to be knowledgeable and could answer any question I may have about the home. I would love to have a long lasting relationship with my Real Estate Agent.

The key demographic a look for in a real estate agent is level professionalism, the ability to provide me with listings that on you to the market, and the aptitude to stay within a given schedule. I'm currently pursuing my own real estate licence simply because i want to play the same service that I would expect myself to other people. There's something to be said about a real estate agent that is able to provide you with far more than just a walk through but the ability to provide you with a list of the school information as well as the potential resale value based on properties in the area. When I like a real estate agent attempt to keep dealing with that seemed particular agent this is the primary reason why I have a full list of agents I deal with solely in differing cities.

I've only interacted with one real estate agent in my life of actually looking at property and there were a few things I'd want to look for when I call up a real estate agent again. The first thing that was really frustrating was the real estate agent really didn't listen to anything I told her about my price range and what I was looking for and pretty much exclusively showed me apartments that were well above my price-range. I could understand maybe one or 2 places, but EVERY place was well above my budget.

The next most important thing I look for is an agent who actually calls me back in a timely basis and acts in a professional manner. I had to call the office 3 times before i got a call back and I eventually just dropped out of the market.

I'm super budget conscious, so the FIRST thing I look at is their commissions rate and see if I can afford that. The next thing that I need is someone who is HONEST with me and not just trying to sell me the most expensive property. After that, I want a person that's knowledgeable. For me, that's the trifecta.
