Hmm, I read the paper today and it was reported that gasoline is now going up, a few cents, as usual. but nevertheless going up, so the gas prices will be back where they "belong" after not a long time of being push off their "high seat". Some currencies will never be stronger than others are, gone are the days when currencies were able to compete.

Because when the price at the pump goes down by $0.10 - $0.20 per gallon, at best I'm only saving a couple of bucks. However the airlines, who have always cited the high cost of fuel contributing to their fare increases, have not changed from last year, and the year before. The same exact fares today, with cheaper fuel prices, are $150-$200 more than they were last year, when fuel was more expensive. And yet the price of airfare has not come down.

That's awesome!...any chance it might drop down further, am more concerned about my cooking gas than anything else, although i have witnessed a drop in the same over a couple of months so am optimistic, the prices will continue being friendly :)

Question is, how long will it last? There were rumors that oil is being smuggled from war-torn regions to the U.S. If that's true when once there's peace in the region, oil prices will go up again. Maybe I'm wrong, but I think Saudi Arabia has gained much from the conflict and since they have lots of oil to sell, and they are among the few selling the black gold now they can afford to sell it cheaper because they sell more of it. http://www.cbc.ca/news/business/can...ts-as-saudis-cut-oil-to-77-a-barrel-1.2822955

The Saudis don't want oil below $70-75, either - it will hurt them as well as it will hurt us.

I remember last week when we were getting home from church and noticed that Safeway's gas cost $2.89 per gallon. I have not seen a price like that in years. I am hoping the prices would stay that way.

Wait till Russia starts dumping cheap Oil onto international markets to depress prices in the wake of EU sanctions. I think US energy firms may just be onto a hiding here.US needs to shut down the Iranian Oil bourse ASAP.

I'm so happy that the gas prices are lower and I hope it stays this way for a long time but I'm sure some other time it may go up again. I just hope the price doesn't get higher anytime soon. The gas prices going down happened at the right time because a friend of mine just got a new car. With the low cost people can save money during the holidays and that is really nice too.

I saw gas for $2.73 yesterday and I hope that it continues to stay under the $3 mark. I wonder if it will go much lower than it already is though?
