I know that there is no sure fire way to tell what stocks are going to do good at any given time, but do any of you have any fun predictions for what you think is going to happen to certain stocks or companies in 2015? I have a feeling that Amazon is going to do something amazing this next year...just a thought.
I think overall, stocks will be choppy to start the year off. There's a lot of selling going on now but that means there will also be a lot of cash available to buy once again. And with the push for home sales, there should be additional money going into the economy from nowhere once again.
I predict that Brent Crude oil will sell for $55.00 per barrel. The price of gold will further decrease to less than $1200. However, the unemployment statistics will not improve much more. Additionally, the price of an airline ticket will not decrease.
[h=6] Food for thought. In my own case, I have my eye on the airlines and I'm expecting some gains there, particularly in the US market. I'm unsure of how the big dogs Google and Apple will do, but I'm reasonably optimistic about Netflix and Amazon. My only concern with Amazon is taxation concerns.
I think in 2015 we will clearly see the beginning of the end for cable television companies as more television content will be available online for a fraction of the price. Younger people will not buy at home service as they turn more and more to the net for entertainment, Unable to compete cable companies will attempt remain solvent by adding more bundle plans of television/phone/internet disguising the hike in internet rates overall. I also believe that more there will be at least one major food manufacturer that will use new GMO free identification labels on their products in the US. This will set a precedent for other companies to follow suit.
Amazon got hammered this year, with failures in the Amazon Fire Phone and plenty of other issues. The company will definitely benefit from lower fuel and shipping costs, but that's not going to be enough to spur enough growth in the company. Amazon Echo is an intriguing device, but it's not going to revolutionize Smart Home technology in any way, and it will more than likely lose more money for the company. I see Amazon staying the course rather than growing at a rapid pace. Nothing amazing there.

I just finished reading an article that covers an interview with Jack Bogle, the founder and CEO of Vanguard Group. He's predicting more turbulence and maybe a serious decline ahead. He's advising to stick with US over International stocks. The short article can be read here.
That is an excellent prediction and one I never even thought of. TV has become crap, that is for sure. I have about 400 channels and sometimes there is nothing on. What exactly am I paying for. And the on demand movies are not good either half of the time.
