Do you all have big plans for the holidays? Spending time with the family? Something more exotic? Do share. Personally, we're doing no big whoop. Christmas with the Mrs and the wee-one. The weather is gnarly, so why travel.
I don't have any plans for the holidays. Normally, a horde of relatives come over to stay with me during the holidays. That forces me to stick around though I'd much rather be elsewhere soaking up the sun. It's been the same thing year after year and don't suppose it will change in future . . . the disadvantage of living in a touristy town. Anyone I know who wants to see the place knows they'll get free accommodation in my home.
If we are talking about Christmas yeah, I always spend it with the family so this year it's the turn to go to my in-laws, so it will be very crowded, around 20 to 30 people, but the kids love it lol.
Lets see, get a good stick-like-glue-to-the-laptop-screen-series or movie with some delicious snacks with no disturbance from the outside world and am pretty much alright...and the relatives try to invite me to their 'well-meaning' banquets and a well fitting subtle answer; NO! will suffice . Of course, big plans like every year! I think Christmas is a time to be with your family so we spend the Eve with one side of the family and Christmas day with the other side of the family, everyone is happy and we don't need to do any cooking. Just sit down and enjoy some great food!
Christmas eve evening with relatives, and probably Christmas lunch as well. I'll probably hit up the casinos (eating and drinking, no gambling) Christmas evening, and maybe even late Christmas eve as well.
We don't have any big plans this year. So far my whole family is sick so no one really wants us around and with the way the flu is going around I can't say that I blame them. I am sure we will end up cooking something yummy and just spend the day playing with the kids.
We have Christmas eve dinner at my inlays house each year. This year my parents will be coming to visit on Christmas day, so we will do presents and then have a small Christmas day dinner with my family. I am so excited that they are coming down.
As I said above this year I leave my family behind and go to the in-laws, but I will still have dinner with my 90 year old grandmother on the 23rd December, so it's an anticipated Christmas dinner.
I am spending my holidays with my family as well, wife, kids, parents and so on. It's not a season I love that much, but it's a season for the kids with a lot of toys, so they enjoy a lot.
