You cannot judge how well a President is doing by market numbers that he doesn't even directly control. Should we praise Bush jr for the Low gas prices back in the day as well?
Wow, he's gotten sooo old in the span of 5 years! But anyway, I think a lot of the things Obama is being praised and blamed for are things that shouldn't really be attributed to him. And his supporters and detractors both go above and beyond of what he actually did and what he's capable of. His supporters think he saved the entire country and his detractors will make you think he's the devil in disguise. When he's actually just an okay president who did some things and did not do some of the things he promised. And I think his performance is dependent on whether the things he did bring into being were directly affected you or not. I know two different people, one who is totally opposed to Obamacare and another who thought it was one of Obama's most useful contribution. Mostly because, the first don't see any difference, only that now their taxes will be going to somewhere else they didn't really need, and the other actually getting a medical insurance now since they couldn't afford it before and so can see a marked difference in their way of living. It's all perspective.
I believe that President Obama has done a great job, he has made many changes, it did not seem so in the beggining of his first term, but towards the end of his second term, he has proved alot, so he did a good job, but hter are those who will always look at someones negative side , there are also those that you can not please at all no matter what, but he has proved himself right.

You can't have it both ways. WHAT has Obama done? Besides bail out failed companies with tax dollars and increase the debt 100%, which they now factor into GDP. Do you realize that pretty much the entire legit employment improvement is due to the private oil boom? What did you think about him banning ALL offshore drilling in 2010 because ONE well had a problem?
I have a problem with the number stating gas prices were $1.87 per gallon. Where was this? I live in NJ which has lower gas prices than many other states, and I can tell you that prices here had not gone below $2 until this week. I know for a fact it was about $4 per gallon during 2008 because I was driving back and forth to CT from NJ. The prices never went down again... not until recent weeks.
For all the people who hate the president that is their problem. I cannot say he is horrible since he has done so much doing his term. He has helped us recover from so much trouble. The job market has been improving since President Barack Obama has been in office. I hope he would have a long rest after his term is over.
Obama is a terrible president. Definitely the worst in my lifetime. Yes, the economy is rebounding, but why shouldn't it? Obama took office in the midst of a horrible recession, of course it's going to look like there was a lot of improvement, because there was nowhere to go but up. Facts are, this has been the worst recovery from a recession in modern American history. In addition to that, Obama's foreign policy has been an abject failure. There's no debate about that.
