I am not sure if it is the dreary winter weather or what, but lately I have felt down in the dumps and have no real explanation for it. I am normally a really happy person, and do not have clinical depression or anything like that. I have been trying to do things to cheer myself, like going shopping with my mom yesterday, but I just woke up feeling gloomy again today. Do any of you experience this? What do you do to make yourself smile when you are feeling down?

I think that it must be something in the air. I was feeling down the other day and I just wanted to stay in bed. I got up so many times and still would return to bed. I finally decided to stay in bed that day. I did not have appetite for food either. I felt so much better the following day. I think that these things happen once in a while.

What do i do to make myself smile when am feeling down...hmm, lets see, a good comedy flick will lift my spirits up, a bar of chocolate also does some magic, listening to soothing music and getting outside and breathing in fresh air does a lot to lift my spirits :)

I could really go for a chocolate bar right about now! I woke up this morning feeling down again and I refused to go through another day of it. Today I picked my son up from school and we went strolling around the library for a while. It actually did lift my spirits because I got to get out and breathe in some fresh air as well as pick out a couple of neat books to read tonight.

Check out seasonal depression or seasonal disorder and analyze it. You may suffer from it also. (I just found out why my mood changes in the winter).

I would go outdoors or exercise that is the best way to clear our head. More, going out with friends and have a couple of drinks can boost our moral as well. ;)

I think feeling down is quite natural and one can expect quite a lot of problems if they are not careful about it. I think it is best to try and find the reason behind and take the suitable measures.

Exercise and natural light are the big cures for me in those situations. It's very easy to get dragged down by the weather, and in the deepest winter I can tend to go into a hole and avoid going outside if I'm not careful. It's important to avoid that.

I deal with this too man. Its a terrible feeling to feel sad, or just uninterested.

Going to the gym helps some, and video games kinda help. So I guess, your hobbies might help?

I hope you feel better man.

In all seriousness, you might get a checkup and let your doctor know.

Just don't tell him anything that might be taken as you wanting to harm yourself or others. With the way government is these days, if you say too much or have something taken the wrong way you could possibly have your life REALLY ruined. Sad but true.
