Products for kids will less likely to get bankrupt. For one, even when parents don't have much money, things that kids like are very difficult to say no to. Toys will almost be like a necessity, mainly because children do not really understand the difficulties of the economy. Toys are also often not considered by parents as a vice, especially those which are educational and can help in a child's development.

I would be a little cautious about investing big sums of money in physical toys nowadays, things are changing and children are moving over to electronics. Sure there will always be a market for it but i feel like it will start to decline. When tablets become common enough for every child to have, which seems to be coming fast, they probably wont focus on too much on action figures or Lego's. Don't get me wrong, I personally love Lego's, but there are some apps out there that are far more interesting with similar concepts. I feel like the future of "toys" are more in computer applications.

We are not discussing toys only, we are talking about LEGO, a worldwide know brand that has diversified into a lot of areas, including clothing, games and movies, so I feel it's a good investment.

LEGO has also been a big part of my childhood and I'm still amazed at the way it has been keeping up with the times, making it a household name among children even after all these years. So I think the future of LEGO is still very promising when it comes to business. With its diversity and adjustment with modernization, it will keep on growing and increasing profit.

I think pretty much like you do gracer, LEGO has been a part of many many kids that are adults today and keep buying their toys to their kids, so a bright future is ahead.

This is somewhat off topic, but have any of you seen the price of Legos recently? I used to buy Legos all of the time whenever I was little, but the price of the product has skyrocketed for some reason.

Lego has lots of android games for kids, and they are keeping up with the social media and other internet networks. They had one flop as a game, but they kept on trying at it till they got it right. Everyone's kids are playing the Lego android games, and the parents like the games since they are kid friendly.

Personally I think they have a lot of potential.

This is true. They have expanded tremendously recently. They even put out a freaking movie(which I loved).

All of the video games that they have come out with have really fared well among the younger crowds, so I am not too sure where you got that notion from.

Toys like Lego's are going to lose their value due to technology. Kids would rather play with an **** than a box of legos. For this reason I only invest in technological toys, like apps, etc.
