When you have a good week in the markets, how should you celebrate it?

Should you go to your favorite restaurant with a date and order a few good drinks with your dinner. Or is it best to reinvest the profits back into your trading account. I know what I would do. What about you?

I would probably go and eat a sushi buffet like Kobe's to celebrate. Then I would come home and watch a movie like The Expendables 3 on dvd. If the market is really good for trading and I continue to win I would use the new wealth do some more fun things like go to DisneyWorld.

Taking dinner somewhere nice or just taking friends out. Doesn't necessarily mean I have to get face drunk.

I would celebrate by going out to eat at a Chinese buffet or any other restaurant that is excellent. I would order an alcoholic beverage because it's a bug celebration and I always drink responsibly. It's good to go out and have a good time with friends.

Well it really depends on how big trading is for you. If it's your main source of income then I think that after a good MONTH it's a good idea to celebrate a little since you probably earned a lot more than the average. Buy yourself something nice etc. For me trading is something I do on the side so even if I have a good week or a good month, the profit always stays in my brokerage account and gets reinvested.

Ah, my wife loves Chinese food, so that is really a good suggestion. As for me, I prefer hindi food, I love those colors and spices, so that would be my choice, a dinner after a day doing sports.

I'm a cautious spender but I think is perfectly fine to go out and celebrate responsibly if you have a good week in the market. Personally I go to a good bar and have a few drinks. Theres no point in increasing your wealth if you cant enjoy it from time to time. Just dont be reckless.

I love to eat and hence I would definitely prefer to go into a good restaurant. I think it is quite good to spend your hard earned money on food.

That is a very good point. There is always a good path somewhere along the middle, spending a bit in things that make you happy without wasting money on useless stuff. Though as I said in my earlier message: I think it's better to wait more than a week to celebrate your new found wealth since the market is very volatile and sometimes takes back what it has given the day before.
