My kid and my nephew (7 and 11) were discussing their girlfriends this weekend and they weren't discussing it with my younger kid who is just 5, haha, it's not a topic for his age they said...
Kids are too funny. They can get away with saying things that us adults sometimes can't. My nephew is starting to talk and he ALREADY says the darnest things that just crack us up. His innocence is just too cute for words.
I'm sure there are a number of parents who wish that they'd have that little innocent back even for one day, when they're all grown up. Not a topic for kids his age, did they say? Here's a love letter dictated [his mother typed it] by a 4 yr-old boy to his princess. Maybe you've seen it on the net somewhere?
The little love letter to Bailey is so sweet! The rest of all these were really cute as well. I have a six year old and an almost four year old and I love listening to them talk when they don't know I am paying attention. They are nuts!
I never really thought about love when I was like 5 years old. I was not in that state where I wanted to venture off into the love world.
I believe that these kids are just so cool with their notion of love. I never realised that the kids really thought about it to such extent.
There's so much talk about love virtually everywhere. That. And I think that kids these days are more precocious. I don't think that it's such a great thing when kids can't be kids. Love? http://www.theguardian.com/world/2009/jan/05/german-children-elope-mika-annabel
My kid is only 7 and he already has a girlfriend lol, it's interesting to see their relation, their barely talk to one another haha, they seem a long married couple.
Come to think of it, it's probably not something unusual. When I lived in some place where kids played together there was this 6 year old girl who went everywhere with a kid who almost as old as her and people usually just assumed they were a couple. Reality though was they were nothing more than playmates. So maybe while kids may make the assumption that they are in love, no such thing exists. Could be I'm wrong . . .
