...extremely sensitive to the point of bloodshed and loss of human life, i always believe the more one tries to force someone to do something, a couple things happen; rebellion takes root, things are done in a half-hearted manner and happiness takes flight...i believe there are ways one can put a point across with not so much drama and still be heard audibly enough...just my $0.02!

That is just cruel that they would go after the little people in a place that is supposed to be magical and fun. I am sorry sorry to hear that news. What are these people trying to prove. They need to stop being cowards and fight with the men and woman who have guns, military. Let the soldiers show them how low they really are.

Muslims must make a clear choice of whether or not they are radical or support the radicals. Those who are radicals need to be at least imprisoned for life or destroyed.

From what I have read in the news it seems as though the Australians are pulling together to support one another in the wake of these tragedies. Both situations are just horribly sad though, especially right here at Christmas time.

In agreement with the person above me, it is a relief to see the Australian community bind together over this tragedy. The aim of the act was to scare the public and give the extremist a mouthpiece, so it doesn't help if we say 'Sydney now has lost its innocence', or even 'this will change us forever'. We need to mourn, but we also need to st'op indulging terrorists with what they wanted to achieve all along.

It's also not up to ordinary Muslims to apologise for people like this gunman, however. I'm Irish, and I don't feel like people are going to persecute me by not yelling from the rooftops that I'm not a member of the IRA. All Australians need to bond together in mateship over this and stop isolation of communities at all costs.

No you are not wrong in feeling this way. Terrorists are intelligent people who know how to hurt innocent people to get attention. The greater problem is that terrorism will continue to occur due to the selfishness of some individuals. They have nothing to lose and have all the time in the world to do as they please.

I understand you anger, but it is very difficult to get rid of all criminals that are foreigners, this groups seem to train any kind of citizen to such sick crimes, you can find that someone wa totaly innocent minding their own business, all over a sudden they get a financial offer from this groups and you find then getting involved in such crimes, but how I wish we could fix this problem.
