I'm sorry for saying this but I just can't understand the ways and practices of Muslims. I know there are good ones of course but maybe they're being out-runned by their extremist counterparts. I don't understand why they have to be so literal in carrying out their religion. These Islamjc migrants may be some of those who want out of that kind of life. Sadly they ended up tragically. And even if they survived, who knows what's waiting for them out there in foreign soil.

Even though Islam installs a certain mindset upon its followers, not all Muslims are the same. Generally, the Muslim immigrants in my country are wealthy and well educated Saudis. They seem to fit in just fine, even though their wives wear such heavy clothing in tropical weather :p

The problem here is to sway the public opinion of Muslims in general. I'm sure there are well behaved muslims. But to the untrained eye, they won't know who or what their real intentions are.

Apparently there is yet another useless EU meeting about this illegal immigrant problem. The way I see it, there is only one fast, not too expensive and most of all EFFECTIVE way to deal with it. Do what Australia does and just force their boats to turn around. Not only will this 100% stop every detected vessel, it will also significantly lower the amount of people who try because if noticed they face a journey back instead of a nice and cozy hospital in Europe.

At least 400 among the latest batch of migrants are now in Italian Soil. I wonder what the Italian Government will do next after these migrants fully recover.

As much as we want to defend them and on the other hand want to string them up...my question is, how do we know who is the bad guy and who is the good guy without stereotyping then?...that is the question needing an answer.

I don't suppose you can tell the difference between the good and the bad guys (in any type of group or society, not just Muslims) without hearing them speak about their beliefs. So it's just as well that the extremists are a minority.

Here in the UK, people do complain bitterly about any migrants coming over here to work, not just the Islamic ones.

This really seems like an issue that only something like background checks would stop. Even then, a background check can only do so much. I feel sorry for the Europeans and I feel bad that they have to deal with this type of issue.

Background checks work in theory, background checks do not work in reality. They are not from the west, they are not traveling legally. They have no identification on them and they are from countries that have very little information about their citizens. Sure if you have a problem with a guy from a western country, you take his prints and send them to his country and you will get a nice big fat file of information. This won't happen with these people. Most you can get is some bits and pieces... if you have their details like name and birth place. Now if they are hiding something, why would they give you the real ones? They just say "ohh I'm Abdullah Hazam" and you contact the country and they are like "yeah never heard of him." The problem is, "never heard of him" will be the answer you get the majority of the time even if he gives you the real info.

What country are you talking about?? Even in the poorest countries you'll get school records, birth certificates, national ID card, etc. Unless you're talking about Somalia or North Korea
