Seems to me like I don't want to get heavily involved with Forex as it sounds highly volatile. Too many detractors to give me confidence to start investing in Forex. I'd rather stick with stocks that seem more likely to give a profit, even if only long-term.

To me Forex and penny stocks are very different. I don't see the similarity. Your point about gearing does not make sense to me as brokers usually do not give big gearing on penny stocks as the liquidity is low, the volatility high and the spread is wide. Forex on the other had is more liquid and usually has tight spreads (unless you are trading very exotic pairs).

Penny stock trading usually involves a longer term outlook and the use of fundamentals and news. Where-as most forex traders use technicals and/ or news and trade on a shorter term time frame. Although, I guess you can use any system to trade any type of investment. To me it just seems that these two (FX and Penny stocks) are very different.

I tried Forex.com but the trading platform seemed like I was sitting behind an airplane cockpit. They have advisors to help you through the trading process but I think it takes time to learn the ropes (as with anything new). There is potential to make $$ but it takes patience, study, and analysis.

Yeah, I agree with you, Forex seems more complicated than the stock market, but I would also like to know what is more profitable if you know both of the businesses.

I don't know about FOREX. It's not exactly the easiest of programs. The demo account was awful. Maybe I simply need to be more educated on the issue ? I find that many people are also not happy with Forex however.

Gambling game is right. People like to call it investing. The fact is that any time you are risking something you are gambling. Unless you have insider knowledge, you are gambling. The majority of people "betting" stocks are "gambling. Betting --> Gambling. Not investing.

Good thought process, I might just look into it seriously.

To avoid high risks, stress and losses, is there a site or brokers who can do all the work for you at a fee?, the math and balancing statistics involved here are vast!
