We have all seen how the world of politics works and personally l could not get into that world as l think it is a world that is always hiding secrets and you will never know the truth but on the other hand some people could do well and they could become famous and very popular.

By my experience, usually the best leaders I have met never want to be in a position of power. In politics, it seems to be easier to point the finger and lie than to actually have the courage to defend what you believe in. I have no idea what democrats and republicans really stand for. They spend all their time and effort trying to demonize the other.

No way. I value my privacy too much, and my ideas wouldn't be very popular with the apparent majority these days anyway. I'd rather be super rich (or even just kinda rich) and anonymous than "famous".

I would not like to be apart of the current political world either. If it actually focused on individual freedoms, I would love to be an activist. It seems as thought that life consist of lies for personal gain.

+1. I like living my life the way I choose, work hard to take care of business, and really couldn't care less about fame. Add in the fact that contemporary politics is pretty much an open septic tank and there is even more incentive to stay away.

No, I'd never want to be involved in politics. The closest I've ever come is eating at the Rayburn Building on Capitol Hill (basement cafeteria... terribly overpriced, of course :) ) with a few senators. And NO desire to be any closer than that. Wonder if it's still there.. it's been a while!

If the opportunity came, why not? It's a job like any other, I've lost my share of idealism a while ago... This doesn't mean I would act against my principles, but these days not everything is black and white you know.

I believe that I would be one of those who would succeed on Capitol Hill. I have always been involved in local government and, I am very well respected in my region of my states democratic party. I get asked to run all the time but, I have just been busy with my businesses and charity work.

It's not all about secrets up there. It all lies with the individual person and if they want to keep secrets or remain honest. I would continue to be as open and honest as I always have been.

Well, that's common sense for those of us who don't aspire to be in politics. Let me be clear. I love politics in its original form without all the slandering or biases put forth by politicians who seek to belittle those who don't fit into their constituency. I love reading political books that simply state facts without leaning left or right. In the political world, people are not honest and they fight dirty. Some politicians lack integrity, respect for others and at times becoming barbaric with the shouting, yelling and use of talking points to state their position. That world is full of secrets the average citizen will never know about.

I could never be a political mover, for some reason I am the quiet type, I like peace and privacy, would not want to be in the public, giving people false promises and watching the dissapointment in their eyes every time they see me.
