Yep, good for you shilpa. Tell me, do you make enough money online to face your expenses? Or are you still receiving unemployment money as well?
I really want to pick up writing but I do not know where to start. Also, I am currently working for a gaming corporation and I must say, minimum wage and treated like slaves is pretty demoralizing. Keeping myself up for one more month then I'm gonna really really try freelancing.
No, I'm not technically unemployed. However, I make less money than other people. My situation has mostly been due to school. If I work too much, then the government cuts my school money.
I'm still a student but soon I'll enter in the job market. I'll go for the IT sector. I heard that it's pretty OK in terms of hiring, do you agree?
I'm also lucky enough to have a full time job at the moment but it's certainly not very secure. As with most industries, they are going through tough times at the moment and more and more companies are struggling. I think I'm in the same situation as a lot of others and if I did lose my job, I'd certainly be struggling to make ends meet and it would have a massive impact in my life. While there is help available, it's not always easily accessible, and it won't help everybody, even if you do manage to get help in that situation.
I have a full time job too, I don't know how my life would be if I didn't because I am owing my house to the bank and I have small kids, so I really need a full time income, sometimes not even that is enough.
I have not been employed by a real job for years. I have had to settle for call center work, speaking to irate people all day just to make ends meet. I have graduated with only a bachelor's in psychology, and that nowadays is the equivalent to working at a dead end job. I am employed but i don't really consider myself, more of a victim to a failed economic system. I could always say at least I have a job and other people have it worse, that eases all my pain from studying 4 years to graduate and make near minimum wage.
Good luck in your hunt. I'm self-employed at the moment, though my goal is to have a full-time role again plus a few enterprises running simultaneously. At the end of the day, we can't rely on the government, an employer, our parents etc for a financial well being. As a result, we've got to take control into our own hands.
I am also self-employed right now. I guess I'm at a stage in my life where regular day jobs doesn't appeal to me anymore. I am a mom and I also prefer working in the confines of my own home while taking care of my child and our household needs. I may not have the same rate as when I was still regularly employed but at least I'm happy with the fact that I have my own time and pace. I'm quite contented this way so far.
Yes, I'm unemployed. And also I'm still a student. I'm doing some online job and I only earn a few dollars a week. I know it's small but it helps.
