I love learning about personal finance and am always looking for ways to save money, but I would like to earn a lot more money. I have goals, people. I want to help others very greatly.
Welcome! I like how you framed it by putting being poor as a choice you don't want to make. No victims here! Just hard working people who want to figure out a way to support themselves long term.
I appreciate that, Scooter. I wasn't born into a poor family, and I don't want to live off the government. It's a soul-crushing way to live from what I've seen. I've seen first hand how poorly the federal government will treat it's own citizens. It's sickening.
Sounds like we have a similar journey. I am fairly new to this forum as well, and I am hoping to learn as much as I can from the more experienced folks here. I am starting from scratch as well and hope to be able to build a retirement portfolio significant enough to live off of when I reach that point in my life. I definitely believe it is possible to do at any income level, we just have to be vigilant in learning and investing wisely.
