Some are hyping this as "The beginning of the end!!" for Monsanto. I won't take the hype train that far but I do know layers ain't cheap and consumers tend to think twice when the "C" word starts getting thrown around. Doesn't sound like good news for Monsantos bottom line. Then again it's only in California at the moment. There's no water to feed the grass, let alone the weeds.
It's a story that's been waiting to happen for Monsanto for a long time. Not that I'm a major fan of the company but they've certainly been the poster child for the "bad food" movement for some time and they're great at attracting bad press. They do still have plenty of powerful backers behind them, though, so we'll have to see how this story evolves.
I can't believe that Roundup is the product they are focusing on when there are so many other products produced by this company that are way worse than Roundup. I mean, chemical fertilizers and genetically modified foods are some of the worst products out there to have a negative impact on our bodies ability to work as it is meant to.
You see, kids? This is why you don't have to eat vegetables. They cause cancer. Jokes aside, don't expect them to not fight hard with everything they have. Does anyone even invests in them?
The food industry is something that makes me sick, many times literally. We need to change radically this industry because it's our health at stake.
