Never. My wife does on occasion, but I don't. I'm too busy taking care of business to give a rip about such things.
I haven't decorated my house in years. That shows that my family and I haven't spent any quality time together. It's just so much work , and it seems like no one has any time.
I decorate once a month when I get my paycheck. LOL. I don't decorate so grandly mostly I just buy new appliances or furniture. Once a year I paint my bedroom walls a different color just to experiment with layouts. I have a lot of paintings so my go-to colors are off-white or eggshell.
When owning a property, the work is an on going process and where I live, I think it's very rare for me to have a room that isn't in the middle of being redecorated to be honest. The upkeep of a property is an on going process, it's not something you can do once, and then live happily ever after in, there's always something that needs doing, that's why I think a lot of people may prefer the rental approach. All the hard work is left to the landlord to sort out.
I agree with you, decorating your house it's always a good reason to spend time with your loved ones. We don't really decorate our house, only on Christmas time. And I think that's what I love the most about Christmas, spending time with my family and friends is one of the things that I enjoy the most.
Very very rarely. I do think a new looks is necessary once in a while but that involves two things: buying new stuff and getting rid of old stuff. And I'm not particularly good at either.
I really love to decorate my home for the different seasons, money had been the biggest reason why I haven't done it in a while. I could use some new decorations, but my wallet is tight at the moment and I can't afford to buy new things. I hope to be able to buy some new decorations this coming year.
I don't decorate my house very often honestly, because I am in the middle of nowhere and no one would see it. I do have a number of Christmas decorations and I sometimes put them out, but decorating can be a lot of work, and I am not usually up to do it to be honest. I don't enjoy holidays the way I did when I was younger, or when I had young kids. Maybe if I ever have grandchildren, I will participate in it again.
I think having a nicely decorated house is something that really makes your home yours. I don't really decorate up my house for parties or get togethers, but I do enjoy getting small things here and there to just improve the general aesthetics of my house. I think making your house cosy and yours is more than enough reason to decorate!
