I've been following the Elisa Lam case for a while now due to the mysterious circumstances regarding her death. She was found dead inside a water tank but before that she was displaying strange behavior inside the elevator. The hotel was known to be haunted too. There are a lot of people on the internet trying to solve her case-- I follow their youtube, forum handles and blogs.

I actually enjoy reading about the crimes POLICE commit. Unlawfully breaking and entering without a warrant or permission from the homeowner, siezing peoples' property without a warrant or reasonable suspicion, straight-up just murdering people, etc. It's very important to me to know about all the way the police are, in fact, not on the side of the people they claim to want to protect.

On less-specific terms, I also enjoy watching Investigation Discovery from time to time. If I start reading too deep into the crimes people and pigs commit, though, I start to get really frustrated, so I try not to get morally involved too often.

While I do like to watch the news and keep up with what's going on, not just in my own country but from around the world, I wouldn't say that I actually follow any stories in depth.

It seems now that nearly every time you turn a news station on there's breaking news of one thing or another happening and if you did try to follow one story you'd probably end up having to follow quite a few.

I've seen the video of her erratic behavior on youtube. Very creepy I believe she had mental health issues if I'm not correct.

I've actually recently taken interest in the wrongdoings of the police, especially in america. It seems people will avoid calling the police when they're in danger, in fear that the police will cause even more harm? I think that's absolutely crazy.

I do follow various court cases and always like to keep abreast of the latest political scandals too. Especially ones involving the Prime Minister and a dead pig...

I admit though, especially in the case of murders, I do feel slightly guilty about being a spectator but there's just something that draws you towards certain cases. The Pistorius trial is a great example - I was glued to it and got little work done.

Well... Not really, but it's always interesting to see what happened with certain crime that was left open. In the other hand, I find serial killers histories really interesting and on my spare time I like to investigate a little bit more about their stories, I'm a psychology student, so I can't help it.

I like keeping up with the latest political news and keeping track of the crimes that get shown on the news but that's about it.

I'm more into reading about crimes of the past and unsolved murders which I find really fascinating. Something I find that really blows my mind is that the perpetrators for murders that happened in the 1920's lets say will never be caught and are likely dead themselves. They went all those years keeping a murder a secret and took the crime with them to their grave. The thought just completely throws me.

I'm also more interested in crimes of the past also rather than stories that are in the media now. I think a lot can be learned from reading about what people have done but most crimes these days are more opportunist than actually planned.

I have to agree that many crimes these days are a lot more opportunistic compared to the very know hiests of the past, with the exception of a few examples like the Hatton Garden raid a while ago.
