Or at least he claims to be one. A scientist who injected himself with 3 billion year old bacteria believes the injection turned him into a superhuman. http://frequentspew.com/2015/10/14/...g-himself-with-3-5-million-year-old-bacteria/ Does anyone else think science will create the elusive elixir of immortality or is this nothing more than a pipe dream?
I trust NOTHING I hear out of Russia. However you must admit this is interesting! We are on track to cure aging at some time in the next 100 years, this might turn out to be something valuable or just hogwash. Time will tell.
Bacteria can definitely help us or kills us, but I agree with you Brandon, if it comes from Russia it has to be suspicious!
I take this with a pinch of salt and I can't help but feel that medical science may have looked at billions year old bacteria already, but I could be completely wrong, who knows? We're already half way to curing ageing so this, if true, could become another step towards that goal, or immortality. Would anyone want to be immortal though? I wouldn't. Yes I'd get to see the wonders of the future and how humanity evolves but I'd also have to say goodbye to loved ones every hundred years give or take. I would rather enjoy this one ride however short it may be.
I do find this to be very interesting. Thanks for sharing it with us. But I am with Sunflogan and Brandon on this one. I am not very trusting of anything that comes out of Russia. I am not sure who would want to live forever. It would be great to live a good long life but I am not sure forever would be ideal.
He doesn't look particularly superhuman to me, maybe I'll check back into his story after 10 years and see if he aged. I don't dismiss stories that can possibly lengthen my life no matter how untrue it could be. I mean, who doesn't want to live forever, right?
When I read the title, I though;'Finally, there is someone who can fly'. I can't really say not getting a flu for 2 years is super-amazing. Of course, working harder and longer is matter how you switch your mind. On the other hand, working super-fast like Flash is something else.
I think it's all in his head. Until he surpasses all Guiness world records for longest work and strongest work, he is no superhuman. And even then he won't be. I think he's watched too many movies.
Yeah quite possibly it's all in his head. Of course the bacteria could be beneficial in some way (like added resistance to certain diseases) but I'd say that's far from being a superhuman.
First: Out of Russia? Anyone claiming to be a "super human" in Russia would automatically be arrested by Putin who sees himself as the Ultimate "Super Being." Putin would have stolen the bacteria and used it himself by now.
