Only just got around to reading this and it really begs belief at what some people are thinking. I kind of understand where they were going with it, but to make their own child drink enough until he was sick it's just, well, sick. And now they've paid the price for there stupidity, and unfortunately so has their kid. I'm kinda hoping that they get banned from having any more children. Stupid idiots.
Stupid...stupid...stupid. I hope they think it was worth it to get their point across! What about grounding him? Why force him to drink until he is sick. I don't care what their intentions were. They killed him and they deserve to pay greatly for this. Poor young man! It just makes me sick!
A tragic story, but sometimes I wonder whether some people are fit to be parents. In this case it was her son and the man was his step-father and it was the biological father that was an alcoholic. Quite simply they didn't understand the effects of alcohol either and how it kills people. As for the sentencing, there was no intent to kill, but people do get convicted of doing stupid things and this is one of them.
Whatever happened to a good sit-down talk on the good/bad side of things and how they'd impact his life...giving him the free will to make his own choices but with a strict guide...letting him know that if he makes bad choices, there are dire consequences...what a sad ending.
